Amend Daylight Saving Time Bill to Allow DST YEAR ROUND
Florida, Washington, Nevada, Alabama, Utah, Missouri, New Mexico, Illinois, and other states have proposed changing Standard Time to "Daylight Saving Time" all year round instead of just eight months per year. This bill, nicknamed the "Sunshine Protection Act," would create stability for medical, financial, and agricultural businesses across the state and possibly across the nation. Why cause professionals, business owners, and farmers the hassle if we could give everyone what they want? Allowing Daylight Saving Time to become the new Standard Time would be similar to the current law allowing states the option to participate in the time change.
