Abolish California\'s Statute of Limitations
Abolish Statute of Limitations so adult survivors of abuse can press charges against abusers
I am a survivor of the three most common types of child abuse (physical, emotional and sexual) By the time I got brave enough to tell anyone about the abuse, nothing could be done due to California's Statute of Limitations. They recently changed the laws because of clergy (priests and ministers) who have abused children, but the lw remains in place so that we cannot testify or press charges against parents, family friends and family members who abused us. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE!
