A Decision of Conscience: The Iran Deal

The proposed Iran Deal fails to take into account the vast differences between western cultures and middle eastern cultures. The ambitious and worthy goal of establishing true understanding and tolerance between our cultures is not going to be achieved with this agreement. Yes, agreements that will allow Iran to rebuild their economy must be reached, but this "deal" is not tenable. It is built on a fragile structure of deception and self-deception. In other words, we are stubbornly fooling ourselves.
The alternative to this treaty is not war, as has been claimed. That claim is another piece of bully pulpit tactics. It is also not a bipartisan issue; making it into party politics is another example of the divisive, manipulative nature of this administration.
Barack Obama's "Legacies" are also _your_ legacies. Each of you will be remembered and associated with the results of this dangerous, treacherous Iran Deal. What you decide to do will affect your grandchildren and generations after. Please give careful consideration to blocking this agreement as many times as it takes. Do not fail the people of the United States.
