2nd Ammendment Rights
As a citizen of the United States and a believer in our constitutional rights, I ask that you strongly oppose any legislation that includes in any way forcibly removing any type of firearm from the possession of a legal US citizen. Not only is this a violation to my rights, but it is punishing the law abiding citizen because of the unlawful action of another. If someone uses a weapon in an illegal manner, they should be prosecuted for their crime. However, the manufacture of that weapon nor the fellow citizens of that person should not be held responsible nor have our constitutional rights infringed upon because of the evil actions of another. This is NOT making the country safer. This is only making us less able to defend ourselves against terrorism and tyranny.
It is your job to pass legislation ensuring we are both protected by our military from foreign enemies AND able to defend ourselves from domestic ones.
