2nd Amendment
No Assault Weapons Ban!
WHEREAS: The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution clearly states "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed;" and
WHEREAS: H.R. 1808 bans the sale, manufacture, and transfer of hundreds of the most commonly owned semi-auto firearms, which number in at least the tens of millions; and
WHEREAS: This bill bans magazines that hold over 10 rounds, rifles with detachable magazines, and firearms with just one cosmetic feature such as a pistol grip, a forward grip, a barrel shroud, a telescoping stock, etc.;
THEREFORE: H.R. 1808 clearly infringes on the right to keep and bear arms, and as your constituent, I urge you to oppose this dangerous bill immediately.
