(2) Seeking protection of fundamental, human and democratic rights in Pakistan
Respected Sir,
Hope this email message finds you well.
As a law-abiding citizen of the world and as a Pakistani, I seek justice protection of my democratic, human and fundamental rights and wish to inform you of the gravest violations that are currently happening to the lives, integrities and properties of millions of Pakistanis.
Based on credible information published in the media from sources like the Amnesty International, United Nations Human Rights, Human Rights Watch etc I wish to bring these to your kind notice of the unscrupulous actions being perpetrated by the current government in Pakistan, the state institutions, civil and military intelligence and law enforcing agencies to falsely accuse, victimize and persecute Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) in bogus, corruption, criminal cases and kidnaping, abducting, enforced disappearances of PTI social media activists, workers, it's office bearers, party leadership etc and to harass, torture, coerce them to defect, denounce the party and it's leadership.
We are grateful that due to the efforts of the Pakistani-American Political Action Committee (PAKPAC), more than 60 US Congressmen recently called on US Secretary of State to pressurize the Pakistani government to improve the human rights situation in the country.
The organization has commended the 65 Members of the Congress, who are signatory to a letter written to Secretary of State, urging him to prioritize the promotion and protection of democracy, human and fundamental rights in Pakistan.

Despite the concerns shown by your goodselves, international human rights agencies and US Congressmen the situation in Pakistan remains unattended and thousands of political activists from Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) including it's chairman Imran Khan (150+ fake cases registered, media coverage banned etc) still remain held in detentions without access to any legal cover being provided to them.
I will request you to please spare few moments of your precious time and review the undermentioned submissions concerning the deteriorated rule of law, justice and the human and fundamental rights situation in Pakistan.
A) Rule of Law and Justice - UN Declaration
The High-level Meeting in UNGA on the Rule of Law, the Heads of States and governments emphasized the right of equal access to justice for all, stating....
" In accordance with international human rights law, justice the signatory governments play an important role in dispute resolution peacefully in their respective countries, and that everyone, particularly women and those accused or belonging to vulnerable groups, must be given complete and equal access to justice system without any hint of persecution.”
B) Rule of law is one of the most fundamental principles of a free and fair democratic society ensuring
-Cohesion
-Equality
-Ensures freedom
-Good governance
-Upholds democracy
-Individual liberty
-Less bureaucracy
-Upholds fundamental institutions
-Ensures justice
-Prevents arbitrariness
-Preserves fundamental values and principles.
It is these values that have shaped modern western civilization that we see today.
Rule of law is the first step towards prosperity in any society
C) Human Rights violations in Context to Pakistan
Since it's removal from office (soft military coup d'état) in April 2022 last year. PTI, chairman of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan falsely faces multiple lawsuits, mainly over alleged corruption during his Prime Ministerial term, as well as alleged purported hate speech, terrorism and violence during antigovernment rallies by PTI especially on May 9 2023.
PTI supporters allege his arrest on May 9 by paramilitary forces as unlawful and part of a plot of political persecution, political victimization been perpetrated by state, it's institutions and the military establishment.
D) May 9 2023 - The Event
Following illegal and unlawful abduction of former Prime Minister and Chairman Pakistan Terik-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on corruption charges by paramilitary personnel (Pakistan Rangers), protests by Pakistan Terik-e-Insaf (PTI) party supporters erupted in multiple urban centers nationwide on May 9 2023.
Protests were reported in Islamabad as well as Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Karachi, Lahore, Mardan, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, and Rawalpindi, with police and para military forces clashing with protesters in multiple locations.
In Lahore, PTI protesters allegedly stormed the Army Corps Commander's residence in the Cantonment area, vandalizing the property.
Protesters have also allegedly stormed the army headquarters in Rawalpindi, while in Quetta, army personnel used live fire to disperse protesters resulting in at least one fatality and several injuries.
The erupted violence on May 9 resulted in unfortunate and unnecessary loss of lives and damage to property.
This could have been avoided.
Sir, the events of May 9 also require impartial investigations.
Soon after the incident the government and its institutions started levelling accusations and narrative building campaigns against PTI and its leadership through
* Media commercials,
*TV advertisement lamenting/alleging PTI for May 9 incident.
* installing Pana flex ads (which started appearing in major road crossings across Pakistan damning PTI over May 9 incident )
* Roadside wall chalking's ... Ridiculing PTI, it's leadership shaming them for May 9 incident.
E) No-one including PTI endorses or condones violence and events of May 9.
As a sportsman and a social worker, and recently as a politician people of Pakistan and the world know Imran Khan for the past 50 years.
His political career and PTI have been violence free and Imran Khan has been following democratic norms throughout it's 26 years of politics.
Dear Sir,
Recalling that Imran Khan has survived an assassination attempt during a public rally in Wazirabad Punjab. The filing of report and investigatiin by police remains held pending due to refusal by authorities to include the names of the alleged officers who Imran Khan believes are behind the attack.
Despite PTI government was unnecessarily removed in April 9 2o22 .
Despite the state apparatus using coercive measures to pressurize PTI and Imran Khan...
The party stood resolute protesting peacefully making simple demands for fresh elections.
PTI is in No armed rebellion against the state....
PTI is in No Civil disobedience movement against the government....
Even today despite PTI, its followers are being violently persecuted by the state, especially the military establishment, PTI resorts to non-violent public processions, video conferencing, social media spaces and zoom interactions..
Dear Sir, PTI still holds a healthy following of 70-80% of population.
Consequently, the sizeable population of Pakistan is demanding the following ,
1) Impartial investigations into May 9 incident.
2) Investigations into the illegal, unlawful harassment of Imran khan, his lawyers in court room, his illegal abducting from the court premises on May 9.
Please note that agencies are forbidden to make arrests inside the courts.
3) Investigations into mysterious absence, non-application of preventive and preemptive strategies which are employed in such high-profile arrests.
4) Investigations into the involvement of agencies (civil and military) and the total absence, non-adherence to operational SOPs and complete lack of coordination between the operating agencies on ground.
There are an estimated 200,000 personal with the Punjab police, besides Rangers, Frontier Corps, Intelligence agencies, FIA, military police, Corps Commanders quarter guards, QRF, Corps Commander's security battalion, cantonment security etc. and scores of other law enforcement agencies which are called upon in case of any law and order issue , and which mysteriously vanished in thin air and did not engage the protesting people at any point between the civil and military cantonment area.
5) Fair trial in Civil courts instead of military tribunals.
6) Investigations into illegal, unlawful, unwarranted late-night abductions of PTI people.
7) Investigations into violation of international HR and fundamental laws and civil rights of the aggrieved.
8) Facilitation to all the detained of admissible support inclusive of access to lawyers , meeting with their family members and abiding by the court's verdict (in case they are given amnesty bails) which is being deliberately denied/abrogated to all PTI people (especially women) who are being rearrested after their release on bail.
9) Investigations into the alleged molestations, mal handling of female detainees.
10) Investigations into use of expired tear gas, live bullets, use/spraying of chemical on peaceful protestors.
11) Investigations, identification into the involvements of plain clothed people accompanying uniformed personal harassing, abducting, damaging public and private property and torturing PTI people.
12) Investigations into alleged looting of precious material (electronic gadgetry, clothes, jewelry, food stuff etc) from the raided houses of PTI people. (Ex MPA PTI Punjab Assembly Mian Aslam Iqbal has described in detail of how Punjab police looted the dowery of her daughter who was to be married and which had to be cancelled because of the looting).
13) Investigations into the illegal holding of press conferences, TV talk shows, billboards, roadside wall chalking's, TV commercials against PTI accusing it of arson, treason ,anti state, anti army etc without any investigations on May 9 events.
14) Investigations into sharing material which is being termed as evidence with the media with melafide intentions of coercing the law , the investigation agency and
to malign PTI people.
15) Investigations into forced defections of PTI office bearers and formation of a new party consisting of the defected PTI Officials thereby effecting the PTI party configuration and it's public standing.
16) Investigations into registration of 150+ fake cases falsely booking Imran Khan with corruption, treason, terrorism, etc. charges.
17) Sharing the list of all PTI people detained. Unconfirmed reports say law enforcement agencies illegally abducted and detained 25,000 PTI people from all over Pakistan.
18) International media, human rights organizations be given access to meet the detained, and record the perpetrated violations.
The people of Pakistan also want implementation of law, order, justice, human and fundamental rights of the 224 million Pakistanis which have gone missing since the past one year.
We are also demanding
1)Government to Undo Suppression of Individual Rights
2) Government to Undo Authoritarianism & impositions by force.
3) Government to End Discrimination and Persecution
4) Government to Stop Propaganda Stunts ( inclusive of .....

The association of government of Pakistan it's institutions resorting to brutally torturing people, violence and oppression are actions reminiscent of fascist regimes.
Conclusion :
While other political parties are preparing themselves and their campaigns for the upcoming general elections
PTI is being deliberately sidelined and politically victimized. The state's apparatus is trying to eliminate Imran khan (popularity levels of 70-80% and above) from active politics denying him his democratic right of participation in elections.
PTI people are being coerced to defect the party, their workers abducted, illegally arrested by Intel agencies, PTI is being banned on media, and the state institutions particularly the military establishment is using all resources to crush the party politically.
Use of force on May 9, 2023, disconnecting access to mobile internet services, Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms is overbroad and indiscriminate violation of basic rights.
The charged environment is being deliberately pushed up by the state of Pakistan targeting PTI with threats of more violence, abductions, fake cases which will lead to political instability, security threats (local and regional) , deteriorated law and order situation, threats of terrorism.
Your good office is requested to kindly intervene and remind authorities in Pakistan how vitally important it is that they followed internationally acclaimed principles of peaceful means of resolving differences, adhering to human and fundamental rights acting in a civilized manner and don't let the situation spiral out of control.
