I especially encourage this training for police to be able to handle legs compassionately. Pets don't know law enforcement, they see someone they don't know coming on their family property and some many go in defense attack mode to protect their family, which is completely natural. As a certified animal control officer / cruelty investigator, I understand that the technical training I have received has made me a MUCH better technician since the majority of us are not armed. In Puerto Rico we are 256 trained and certified ACO/CIs of which presently 35 are armed officers of the law. WE are all taught to be patient, learn to be cunning and those in the police departments and organizations who can afford. it use equipment.
