I, too am among those who are hurting in this economy! I think there are so many vehicles that could be donated, to we who are now the less fortunate. The car companies are not making 'green cars' to be affordable for everyone; yet there are lots of good used cars and car brokers buying them wholesale from dealers for resale. It's ridiculous to punish the disabled and poor with 22% interest on payday lots! I need two surgeries and have NO family to help me here. Friends and churches can only do so much. I hope the US can move forward with the GREEN world/technology and include those of us who become invisible when we are aged or disabled! Some of the "clunkers" turned in were STILL drivable (Cash for Clunkers). What a waste, beyond the incentive deadline. Thank you, if you care...REPORT COMMENTS

I am disabled with limited income to support myself so I don't have means of transportation. It sure would make a big difference in my life to be able to have transportation back and foward to appointments and maybe I can get out and donate a couple of hours of community service to those who are less fortunate like myself.REPORT COMMENTS

My 5yr old nephew has Cystic Fibrosis,takes 11 Very Expensive meds a day!He made CNN's Intriguing people for 1/29/10!My sisters car died, her husband's car is on last legs, can't afford a new one!!Wore out from travel, dr's accross country. Charities like this will be a Godsend for so many accross the country! Why waste what is seized in drug raids, or what have you.Those out of work,or sick could REALLY use the help! a lot of us are down and out, we are not looking for a handout, but a handup. i'm sure if prez. obama had this in front of him he would not hesitate to get it enacted. that way those of us that need dependable cars would be able to get them. we as voters who put these people in government would think that they would help us out. but no it all goes back to the golden rule. he who has thew gold makes the rules. what we need is to get people in government who have taste the poorer side of life and be able to help out their brothers and sisters on this side of the tracks and tell them rich so-and-so's where to get off at.REPORT COMMENTS

Hi I am now a single mother of 4 children, Where I live there are no programs to help get a car, and the only transportation available to the public is in city limits the Department of social Services can help with getting the Children to their doctors appointments because they are on Heath Check. I just want to say it makes it very hard for me to get a job and be self sustaine when I don't have a car. How am I suppose to get to town to buy the things my children need or get a job if I don't have a car? I would love to not have to depend on Food stamps or health check. ( although they are great programs for low income people) But if more individuals had a way of getting to work there might not be so much money spent out in welfare.REPORT COMMENTS
