CoVid Tuition Relief Grant for Students in Higher Education
We, the undersigned, are witness to the devastating financial impacts that CoVid is having on our low income, first generation community college students.
These future members of a world class economy want to better their lives through access to higher education but can't because of funding. CoVid has hit this vulnerable population in ways that only they can truly describe.
We implore you, Leaders of this Great Nation, to fast track a grant program akin to the Pell Grant Program, and institute a CoVid Tuition Relief Grant Program for these students who want to be back at their community colleges and 4 year public colleges.
They can thus confidently enter the work force with the credentials needed to earn a living wage and lift not only their quality of life but, collectively, that of the nation as a whole.
