How can they do this? They're supposed to be helping animals. Don't animals have enough to deal with having no home & no love? Do they also have to be betrayed by the very agencies that swore to protect the animals from people like them.

This is horrible. How can they be so heartless, doing this to innocent pets??

maybe to get alot more donations start giving the kill shot to the members of the U.S Congress and the rest of the people responsible for killing the animals. It would be a better world without them.

Since there is such a controversy, an investigation should be welcomed if these groups have nothing to hide. It's time to settle this and get the truth out however it falls.

I believe it was HSUS CEO, WAYE PACELLE who said it best.. I believe it was about a year or so back.. While being questioned about the "outcome/spending habits" of the HSUS, Wayne responded. "its nobodies business what the HSUS does with THEIR money".. Later while being quesitioned about the outcome / killing of these "live saving raids" and rescues, Wayre responded "it is not in the best interest of the public to know how many of these animals are euthanized/killed". What he REALLY meant was "IF YOU KNEW HOW MANY OF THESE ANIMALS WERE INFACT BEING KILLED, YOU WOULD NOT DONATE. He MEANT that its not in the best interest of the HSUS if YOU KNEW how many of these animals were being KILLED.. Afterall, its not good for donations when you tell people "we killed XXX thousand of the saved puppy mill dogs" last year , now is it? If people know they were a larger, richer version of my euthanizing local HS, they wouldnt be sending the ASPCA HSUS and PETA 40-100M a year in donations. They would be trying to help their own broke "HAVE TO KILL" local HS who has no choice BUT to kill in m any instances because "we the donor" are so busy donating to the big boys that we completely forget about the sometimes TENS OF THOUSANDS of dogs and cats that are already being killed near our own homes. MY local HS/ City pound/Animal control doesnt need THAT KIND of help. They do a FINE job of killing all by themselves.. PERSONALLY, I expected a HECK of a lot more BANG FOR MY BUCK out of the HSUS ASPCA and PETA than just "rescue kill". If we wanted "rescue kill" type tactics, we certainly dont need to donate 100M a year to get that..

I do NOT promote an unethical "breeder" for certain, But I support an unethical "rescuer" even less. Particularly one that takes in 40-100M a year like PETA , HSUS and ASPCA to supposedly "save" animals and proportionately kills as many or more than they save. If these groups would stop lying to the public and start awareness campaigns with all that money, we could make headway in eliminating the population problem. Stop blaming everyone else, and take INDIVIDUAL responsiblity. If you google shelter statistics, you would know the truth. Even by HSUS and ASPCA's own stats, 85-90% of all shelter animals are the product of irresponsible pet owners NOT breeders. If you are not going to take care of an animals DONT BUY ONE.. Most breeders prefer it that way also. Its like going to McDonands eating all the food, gettting fat, then blaming the seller because you dont have sense enough to take responsibilty for your own actions. Go to your local HS, look at all of the "mutts". LET THAT SINK IN.. Do you think that this 90+% "mutt intake" comesf rom breeders? NOPE.. But it sure makes YOU donate a LOT of money to the HSUS and ASPCA telling you "save puppy mill dogs". Its worked WELL for the HSUS and ASPCA for decades. They are worth HUNDREDS of millions.. ALL coming from you, the donor. DONATE LOCALLY, and have your pet SPAYED AND NEUTERED. More importantly, if you are NOT responsible enough to care for a dog/cat for 15-20yrs, DONT buy one, then blame the "bad breeder" or person you got it from. Thats just ignorant. INDIVIDUAL responsiblity. LETS TEACH THE TRUTH..

DESPICABLE. Absolutely despicable. I am so disgusted by the behavior of these groups that mislead animal lovers into thinking they are helping animals by donating to these groups.

After adopting my dog from the Leon-County Humane Society, I became (more) passionate regarding animal welfare. Puppy mills are as disgusting as those who run them!
