I just spent 10 days in Nepal. On the streets of Thamel there are piles of little boys passed out on glue. When begging for money they are huffing on their glue bags without shame. Every person who walks by turns a blind eye, as well as, our government officials, the Nepal Government, and the NGO's or so it seems. They will end up dead in a pile of garbage with the cows and crows eating them. The children in line for adoption have been given a good start a in a good orphanage, they are well adjusted and have an opportunity for a life; they are not being trafficked and you know it. There are little girls in Thamel being preyed upon by men from west. These are the areas you should be putting energy into and stopping. Impeding these adoptions wrong. You are wasting time, money and potentially ruining any chance these children might have for a life. I helped a family send a young boy to a monastery because his family left him to a cousin and they cannot raise him. Death on Glue or a chance for a life, you make the moral decision, as I know everyone of you is clearly aware of the alternatives. Absolutely disgusted at our Government for making this process hell for so many!

I am one of the pipeline families. If fraud is not found, these files should be approved and visas granted as the other countries have been doing even though they have suspended further adoptions. For the US to hold our files to a different standard is unfair. My 14 month old daughter spends her days in a wire crib. She is not walking and does not receive the nutrition, stimulation and attention needed to fully develop. Every day counts- please act now and allow us to bring her home.

As an adoptive father I deeply appreciate our nation's attempt to care for Nepalise children, to make sure that they really and truly are free for adoption. Yet in the attempt to do the right thing, the children of eighty "nepal pipleline families" are being harmed. Please recognize that harm and send these children home.

Life is too short for a child not to have the loving arms of their parents around them!
