Most of use were never told there was a ten year limit on GI Bill benefits. That was not fair and should be changed.REPORT COMMENTS

The GI bill should not expire. I got out of the military in 1995. My daughter was born in 1996. Working and supporting my family was priority at that time. I would like to go back to school but I have no educational benefits now. The government has the money to pay back veteran educational benefits. Please do something beneficial for a change.REPORT COMMENTS

I did go to college 1 year after I got out of the military and was told I was ineligible! I am a honorably disabled veteran! I was told to find other means to pay for my schooling! It has been 17 years later and after being on the phone with the VA for HOURS finally I find out that my application for g I bill was never submitted in 1998, they received it in 2001??? They said they sent me a form to sign, which I never received. After hearing that I was ineligible and not knowing where to get help, I just stopped looking into it. I tried to use my VA home loan benefit and ended up getting declined for that too! Yet I am receiving VA flier's in the mail asking me to refinance with them. What do I do now??? I have had doors constantly shut in my face when attempting to use my benefits.REPORT COMMENTS

I really want to use my GI benefits but they are expired. I have three Associate degrees. And I would want to get a Bachelor's in a credited University. I would need the GI Bill to do that.REPORT COMMENTS

This was money paid in by veterans during service. We should still be entitled to the benefits.REPORT COMMENTS

Veterans should have the option to use this benefit when it suits their circumstances, they sacrifice so much during their service. We owe them that much!REPORT COMMENTS
