I am a mother that pays child support. My child support is so high it leaves me nothing to live off of. I have other children living in my home...why don't they matter? My x husband did not work for several years while I supported his household and my own. He receives more of my paycheck than I do and i pay 100 percent of their insurance. Now he has a job that he works few hours and makes very little money. If I were to do that I would be in contempt of my court order and would be under threat of jail time. Its completely unfair. I have spent over 9,500$ to get more time and less child support. I recieved around 100 days and 50/50 during the summer, and I am still obligated to pay the same amount. Why??!!#REPORT COMMENTS

this is the most ridiculous, absurd, corrupt, unfair, communist extortion I have ever dealt with in my life. I keep my child half the time, take care of her half the time, give the mother money every week ANYWAY anytime she asks, work two jobs can barely pay my own bills, take care of my child just as much as the her mother but I can still pay her bills and mine too? this is extortion and unfairness at its finest. they literally told me "we do not care we do not want to hear anything" and gave me an amount to pay every month which is still absurd even after I had it reduced. she can have a lawyer but I can? hard to have a fighting chance when you don't even know what you can and cant say. I have two pages worth of evidence and reasons against her why I could obtain an emergency custody order, 50/50 custody with no child support, could even get full custody if I wanted it and all the court cares about is making sure she gets 1/4 of MY monthly earnings when I do justa s much as she does. this is absurd and infuriating. complete disregard for what is right only that she gets my money and I can starve for all they care. nothing matters besides how much I make every month.REPORT COMMENTS

I have watched my sons ex-girlfriend friend take her child support in past on oldest daughter spend time the money for new hair do buy herself clothes shoes make up cell phones and the child be wearing old wore out looking shoes while with my son I myself bought shoes clothes and other items for the child. Stood by watched and listened to how sorry the dad was who was disabled in a wheel chair bash him on how he didn't care for her daughter in front of child. Later she talked my son into having a child with her.after having child she then left my son rarely got to see child and even though she received child support weekly she went and applied for it thru courts. Even though he signed birth certificate and she was legitimazed at hospital he had to still hire a lawyer to get rights to child .only right he had was to pay her which is a screwed up law. Being a single mom myself I know it can be tough sometimes.I never hardly ever received support. But I think taking their drivers license is the stupidest thing as a law to do. Now the ex met her a money man moving to Hawaii so it will be 3 yrs before I'll even see grandchild nor my son. But h e still has to pay child support on a child he will not get to see.I think men deserve more rights and ham what they are given how can a dad be a dad if the mothers don't let them see them move them away to different states. The mental aspect on a dad is awful and to the child but yet let's make him pay for a child he never gets to see.let's lock him up because he refuses to pay for mom new hair do since can't see. Child a million miles away but yet let's lock him up let's take his only way to get to work to be able to pay child support. Really smart people.REPORT COMMENTS

Recently went to court for establishing parental rights for my daughter. I wad the one who filed, lost my job, and ended up having to pay twice as much as I did before. This whole idea of Institutionalized Discrimination neesa to stop immediately. I say just because you wear a black graduation gown and smack a coaster with a wooden hammer wile on your phone in court does not give you complete power to disrespect our positions in a family, or as people. My ex wife have two boys together, I have custody of our oldest she has the youngest. I insure the boys through my job and still have to pay her 72 a week for child support while I'm paying for child care for my oldest she's on disability and lives in a different County and does not work, she collects checks and her and her boyfriend live off me. Indiana is completely out of line with this child support. When does her financial responsibility kick in? I work my*****off and struggle so she can go pontooning and camping every weekend, I've been through the courts twice with her over her not helping me get the boys to my house or to Jersey or he'll even meet half way like it says in the Indiana parenting guildlines. The judge will not do anything to her but I'm being punished for being a good dad. I can't believe the bull crap us good father's have to endure to be in our kids lives.REPORT COMMENTS

I have never missed a payment and luckily I've never been in jail it's just unfair and unlawful how they do the men in these causes. I've been to court so many times and not once has the judge agreed with anything I wanted and the child support Attorney's are also against men, I had a few shut me down and not listen to what I had to say all she wanted was to get my ex what she wanted. I don't feel it's right that both my ex's use my children as a paycheck know the money they get from me monthly they don't spend it on them California is so corrupt I hate living here the only reason I'm here is because I refuse to leave my girls I want to give them what I didn't have and that's a good father, and I will not become a statistic in the eyes of California or Child Support System and I'll keep fighting to prove them wrong for me and and all others in the same situation.REPORT COMMENTS

Just had the call from Child Support Case Manager. He tried to be helpful, but God was he a condescending SOB. Anyways, the letter arrived a day later than my paycheck was delivered. I already paid to my ex via check. For them, I have not paid. What kind of horse-shit logic is this? They will take my ex's word but not my word that I have paid?
