Yes I do agree it's time to stand up to the stigma and the scam that has plagued men and some women I've been paying child support arrears since 2008. When do this in and where do this debt come from. My daughter is now 24 years old she doesn't see any of this money.$41000 of back pay goes to the mom. I get my wages garnished every week but I still have to help my daughter. It is very frustrating and it's wrong and I will help fight this thing to the death until something changes come on man let's stand together on this.

Dept of Child Support services is a fraud. They use process servers her in California and rob fathers of proper notices to appear then DCSS easily gets a default judgment. How am I supposed to afford 700 a month when I don't have 700 dollars?

I think is unlawfully to make a father pay for a child that he is unlawfully tied to I think that it is unlawfully to for somebody to pay child support but not have any race today individual child that the government has says that you have no right to but you have right to pay child support and not have access to the taxes at the end of the year I think it is unlawful for mothers to tell me that I have the right to pay you beautiful fairs and what they do in their life whether the mothers are failing to come through is a strong pair of figure to show that both parents matter in the child's life or to even step up and say no to your father is a great man and we want him to be a part of your life I think it is misperception and I think that guys are being held accountable for decisions that women are mothers are making for their children but we do not have the right or a voice to speak for our rights about you I think is unlawfully in unfair a father that loves his child out

I was trapped. Proven too. The mother is seeking momatary support as extra income and yet trying to deny me of anything. I want to sign my right over I undwrtambthe back lash from this and it's Ok. I know it takes two to tangle and make a baby and I am just in fault as her because we were hot and heavy one night. But where is the fathers rights or where is the mans right. I have it proven that she trapped me and was in the process of artificial insemination but yet I'm the one that suffering. She is bi polar and totally unfit. She is an alcoholic and totally un stable.

I am a very active father and am in my child's life every day that I can be. I coach her soccer teams, I go to all school events, I go to Girl Scouts with her and I've never passed up a day that is "mine". I make a good living. Let me rephrase that... I EARN a good living. Because of that, I am forced to pay $1500 per month, plus Health Insurance. My child's mother (my ex) is remarried, and they now have 2 incomes. They just purchased a house that was on the market for $567,000. Even though my ex receives $1500 per month, she will not pay for my daughters Music Lessons, Soccer season fees (only $115), when I do pay for soccer, she won't buy cleats or even a soccer ball for my daughter. It is highly unfair that I am forced to pay more than 100% the cost of raising a child (per USDA) plus health insurance. It is mathematically impossible for my ex to contribute any money towards OUR daughter. If I didn't contribute, I would be jailed and my name would be on a "deadbeat" website for me to be publicly shamed. In no way would I ever not support my daughter. I understand that as a father, it is my duty to make sure my daughter has everything she needs, and if money is there, most of what she wants. I ask that the laws simply be altered to be more fair. My ex makes a good living as well (approx $70k / year). Child support laws today are not fair. This post will not go over Custody as that is a whole separate issue. I think I should have 50/50 custody with 50/50 (or at very least 60/40 in ex's favor) of all expenses. I am an Army Veteran, have paid every debt I've ever had and am a law abiding Citizen. I don't understand why the court will not allow me more time with my daughter. I have every Thursday night, 1st, 3rd and 5th weekends, with 1 month in summer, pretty standard. I also don't understand why my ex is entitled to be a court appointed deadbeat parent.

Child Support System Declared Unconstitutional Minnesota Supreme Court upholds ruling In 1975, Congress passed a law which included a last minute amendment to create the Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE). When signing the bill, then President Ford commented that it took the federal government too far into domestic relations and promised to propose legislation to correct the problem. Over the decade that followed, it became clear that OCSE intended to grow in size and power to control all aspects of child support law, seizing that power from the state courts. The size of the OCSE grew, this decade acquiring a staff in excess of 50,000 and costing taxpayers some $3 billion annually. Child support laws were modified, so that simple mathematical formulae are used to make award decisions. This new simplicity is required due to the low level of education of workers who are assigned as "judges" in child support cases. Extreme consequences defined by new federal laws, often carried out automatically and without trial, give the child support enforcement agency power over tens of millions of individuals that surpasses anything previously seen in the United States. After almost 25 years since its start, judges in Minnesota finally felt that they had seen enough. In June of last year, the Court of Appeals decided that the administrative branch of government had exceeded its constitutional powers. "The administrative child support process governed by Minn. Stat. 518.5511 (1996) is unconstitutional because it violates the separation of powers required by Minn. Const. art. III, 1." (STATE OF MINNESOTA IN COURT OF APPEALS C7-97-926 C8-97-1132 C7-97-1512 C8-98-33, Filed June 12, 1998; http://www.courts.state.mn.us/library/archive/ctappub/9806/c797926.htm) The Minnesota Supreme Court upheld the decision in January of this year. "The administrative child support process created by Minn. Stat. 518.5511 (1996) violates the separation of powers doctrine by infringing on the district court's original jurisdiction, by creating a tribunal which is not inferior to the district court, and by permitting child support officers to practice law. Therefore, the statute is unconstitutional." (STATE OF MINNESOTA IN SUPREME COURT C7-97-926 C8-97-1132 C9-98-33 C7-97-1512, Filed: January 28, 1999, Office of Appellate Courts; http://www.courts.state.mn.us/library/archive/supct/9901/c797926.htm)

If fathers can go to prison for lack of payment, mothers should be at least held accountable to spend the money received directly on the children. Entirely too many men go to prison so the mother can wear the latest styles.

I am currently in the process of moving to florida and currently unemployed do to getting things situated for the move and in the process filed for a modification on support and asked for a phone conference which was granted and it didn't go well all I wanted is to get the support lowered some and I was treated like I just didn't want to pay support at all I was basically told that they were not going to lower it so I could just sit on my*****and live the life of luxury in florida and the thing is I always provided for my children but yet my ex is collecting ssi and sitting on her*****and collect 1000 dollars a month from me and I still to this day have her put any of that money that I work so hard to earn not spent on the children and then when I ask to get it lowered not completely terminated now I'm the scum this is not right I do think that what pay in child support should be matched and put in an account just for the children and I think if we are suppose to be supportive of our children to be fair that the children are getting the most of this support in both cases or should I say the party collecting the support should have to show proof of what and where the support is spent on

I would like to see our country begin all custody cases with 50/50 custody. Our country believes in equality but not on custody cases. The mother generally wins custody because at a young age it is believed that the child should be with their mother. In other cases the mother wins custody because the courts look at who has spend more time with the child and bonded. But this is generally because the father is out working to support his family. In most cases the father would love to be home more with his child. So because the father was not a deadbeat and was out working he loses custody because of lack of time spend with the child. 50/50 custody would allow both parents to find jobs that can support their children and equally bond with their children. When a mother wins custody and chooses not to work this puts all the financial burden on the state and the father. 50/50 custody would also discourage young women from believing they can get pregnant and live off child support and state assistance.

I'm trying to figure out how our representative body of government has been allowed to completely screw us over as non-custodial parents paying ungodly amounts of support. If I give everything I have after covering my bills and food/gas, then that's all I can give. But she asks for more. It doesn't seem the courts care. Leaving a father with no money. No means to buy anything for his child, to pay for travel to his child or to even *gasp* buy something for himself. Nothing. That is completely counter intuitive to the well being of the child. Now his father is forced to not see him. Not have any mobility. It also raises the question of "Why not take a job at a gas station?" I bust my tail every week to bring home my money and it's all gone to child support and bills. None of it makes any sense whatsoever. These laws are setup to make debtors in this society not as a benefit to the child. It's an equation where x + y = Debtor. So then you get interest accrued to the State. Once it becomes to much to bear or if you should unfortunately lose your job or have hard times, then you get incarceration to look forward to. It's completely asinine.

Because of these laws my son is homeless. He owes 40.000 in I back child support. His son is 21 years and grew up wealthy. My son is mentally ill and lives in a tent in Florida and as soon as his job starts taking money out of his pay check there's barely any money to eat. Fathers should help but laws have to b more realistic.

My child support paying days are almost over (2 months left), but I feel change needs to be made so I'm here. I had two kids when I was young by two women. Both women have married and I too am married. My wife and I have two kids and both of the mothers of my other two had another child. So you have three households with two working adults and two children. I have had to take from my house hold and pay into each of theirs. So the two kids unfortunate enough to live with dad always had less. When a woman remarries support should end! That's fair. We need to draft up a bill and push it down congress throats.

Yes, the child support system is illegal to say in the least. I am a victim of the system taking me out of my child's life and not investigating the mother when I presented evidence of her corruption and coecrcing of my son. They were focused on trying to prove me unfit (which they didn't do) than fairly presiding over the case. Both parents should have equal custody when the child is born and whichever one does not want to take care of their responsibility then that person should pay child support. Also reverse jailing a parent, suspending licenses, denying passports, making men felons and putting it on their credit reports does no good for the situation.

Is Texas child support a government of its own? Or entirely too much freedom? As a father of two i have my dues as to pay for child support, but what about the custodial parent? They have all the freedom no worries as long the check comes in, right. Texas child support abuses fathers on their career and future to be succesfull. If the father is not working, what do you get, accumulated child support payments and ends up in freezing your accounts, irs tax returns, etc... if you become somebody in this world a success you get rewarded by paying the custodial parent more child support because of your new income. Basically you lose either way. Now Texas child support got involved in the renewal of your license tag for your vehicle. If you have outstanding payments you wont be able to renew your tags. I understand that, but what if your behind on child support payments and you cant work for unknown reasons, what then? Your vehicle is your primary from and go to work, and if you cant renew your tags because your behind on child support payments, How is that person be able to catch up with the payments if he is not allowed? Also, the custodial parent what type of support do they give to the child? Texas child support does not ask for proof or tries to figure it out as long as the money comes in from somewhere. Take my case for example when i went in to child support office i was asked if i was working, i said yes so what they did they went back 3 years and thats the income they took into consideration, because when i went in at that time it was in March 2014 so they went with the highest income which was 3 years ago. Also, like in my case she has another child support case opened but child support does not worry about that person, Why? He is not working. Plain and simple two roads one leads to money the other does not, Pick one? The custodial parent get away with everything and they are the ones not providing any type of support for the child, most of them and child support will never find nor do anything about it. So my question. IS TEXAS CHILD SUPPORT A GOVERNMENT OF ITS OWN? OR ENTIRELY TOO MUCH FREEDOM? As far i can see they can do what ever they want, unless that one person says time out.

TN & VA child support laws need changed. My husband had a child before us & I completely agree that he pays his half but when his baby mom keeps having babies & absolutely refuses to work & hasn't for the past 9 yrs at least except no more than a week to month a year to be able to get a W-2 for taxes to be able to file taxes on the kids & refuses to abide by the custody agreement something needs to be done & laws need to be changed. I don't believe it's fair for her to be getting the money & assistance from DSS whenever the kids don't even live with her. I think it should only be fair that since the child is living with her grandmother then the grandmother should get the child support not just from my husband but from the mother of the child as well should have to pay at least the same amount as my husband every month. I think the grandmother should be the one receiving the benefits from DSS as well instead of the mother. Now in the state of TN if you are between the age of 18-40 & have no kids if you become laid off or unemployed for any circumstance you can only receive food assistance (TANF) for a year but after 3 months if you are still unemployed you have to show proof of job searching or go through classes weekly for 20+ hours. So if they can get that strict with that then something needs to be done about parents that can work but refuse to & expect the government to pay to raise their children & keep them up as well. I have worked since I was 15 & I know several parents that do this are living better than us cause they are getting everything from the government for the kids they keep having & don't take care of. It's absolutely wrong, laziness & abusive.

I make 44$ an hour as a union carpenter. I am paying child support for two of my three children. On a 40 hr check I might get 550. My payment is 2100 plus arrears I racked up due to the down time thats part of working construction. I've racked up over 9 grand in arrears and my credit has been destroyed over it. I'm two months behind on my car payment and can't afford to buy boots and now have to work in the rain with soaking feet because of the holes in my current boots. I have a 10 month old baby that I can barely afford to buy formula for and am constantly having issues with my girlfriend due to my inability to carry my own weight. A huge hit on my manhood and Everytime I get paid, I get dick to my stomach looking at my check. I commute 25 hrs/ 1000 miles a week so right away 120 is put towards gas just to get to work. Unemployment pays more than what I make having to wake up at 3 in the morning, commute 5 hrs a day , risk my life at work and break my back, and sacrificing my entire life as a slave to my babies mother and the government. The events that have happened since dealing with child support have made me feel like a kid getting bullied and is told that after school they are going to get a butt whipping. Just helpless

I am a father who is currently under eviction from the powers of the NY child support collection unit. I owe little under 3000 dollars in total. This Law was put in place because mothers were left supporting the children while applying for help from DSS. State Law makers then added the Bill of Medicaid to ensure that fathers pay for medical expenses which also hides under the umbrella of child support. I am allowed 111.00 dollars a week after garnishment weekly. I recently went for modification of order and the support collection agency instead of adhering to the new order of 25 per month they established new order leaving the levy of another order open when the purpose was to modify so that I can afford rent, get to work and have food to eat. Cant get help from DSS because they said that I have an income regardless of the huge garnishment so I cant receive help at all for an arrears owed totaling 3000. something is very wrong with the system. I cant afford to give child support to my Children because of this Law and Ill have no place to live very soon.

I pick my son up and spend days with him on end. His mom got really sick after we split up and she has bad memory loss, so her mother and I handle my son the most. I buy him diapers and food, and I love him with a passion!!! It feels my heart with sadness, fear, and mostly anger that I'm put in a position Legally that I'm basically given the shaft. I'm required to pay money, but if I'm behind on payments because I don't have much work, which has been the case lately, them I'm denied the right to hold a license. In either driving or in the trade, and my tax return is taken from me, which goes a long way in helping me get a good start to the Next year! Like this year! So I'm sitting at home feeling down and hopeless, as I'm sure so many fathers do right now. But I want to stand with other men like me and say, ENOUGH! I want to say Enough to the federal government, and to every man and woman in the Attorney General who knows that what they do is wrong and unfair!!!! Let's put an End to the masked injustice that is incorrectly named "child support"!!!

If there's more jobs in the economy for women than men, then why can't the burden on men be eased up....not that we shouldn't pay but NOT to the extent wr do now. There should be some adjustments to this law.
