Animal Shelters across the U.S. need public funding. We give millions of $$ to politicians for their campaigns, tax breaks to Big Oil, trillions of $$ to support war efforts which kill hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians in other nations, and on and on....... but we cannot care for our own animals, who are IN THIS SITUATION because of the carelessness and neglect imposed upon them by US citizens. As an active volunteer at my local dog shelter, I can attest to the fact that animals are being euthanized before being given sufficient time to be checked by a Vet and placed for adoption. This is usually because the shelter is filled to capacity and there is nowhere to put the dogs. Funding is desperately needed to expand the capacity of shelters.REPORT COMMENTS
