One of the saddest things in the world is to see a child grow up hating their father just because they've only heard one side of the story. The only actions that should limit a parent from having equal access to their child are activities that are considered illegal. If the guardian ad litem uncovers sufficient information as to remove equal access to the child; shouldn?t the parent in question have an arrest record or be charged with a crime? Why would a child ever be removed from his biological parent for living any lifestyle that was legally acceptable and safe? Marriages fall apart and end in divorce more often than they stay together. But that doesn?t mean that all remaining aspects of the family must then be destroyed. By perpetuating the separation and division of children and parents; we do not serve to benefit our children and the future of our society in any way. In the age of divorce, we must cease the practice of allowing a system that holds a 15 minute trial with biased but un-invested bystanders to take away the rights and responsibility of a parent who has broken no laws. A parent who wishes to be a contributing role in the life of his child should not be disallowed from giving 50% of the care to their child. ยท We must firmly disallow Guardian ad Litems or Judges, with any bias toward lifestyle or religion, to participate in a court of law.REPORT COMMENTS

My partner has had little to NO contact with his children for over 6 years. His ex-wife has manipulated the children into thinking that when he left her, he left them as well. Up until the time he moved out of the house he was with His girls Everyday of their lives. The way a loving and devoted Father should be. Their was nothing he would not do for his girls. It is heart wrenching to see this Man break down in tears everytime he recalls a memory with them. They have been cut off from half of their Family that loves them so much. This is an atrocious attack from a scorned woman who wants to seek revenge. She is using her children as way to get even with my Partner. She very well knows that his children mean the world to him and that this would devastate Him. Well It has. And as far as the Girls well being? We don't know at this point. We can only Imagine. The encounters My Partner has had with his girls, seem to always end in misery. He has to initiate conversation and most of the time the respponse is, " I don't want to talk about that". He continues to send them Birthday and Holiday cards, but they do not return the favor. When they do respond it is only in written form and the letter addresses him by his first name. I find it hard to believe that the children would do this of their own accord. This petition need to go through The loss of a loving relationship between parent and child due to a manipulative person is a Tragedy. It should NOT be allowed to happen EVER. A child should NEVER have to Go through this type of abuse. This Petition should not take an Act of Congress to pass either. Please find it in your Hearts to Read our story's and get this passed.REPORT COMMENTS

Parental alienation is cruel and unusual punishment. It needs to be recognized and stopped. I have not seen my sons for an aggregate of 21 months. I am heartbroken, stressed and angry. In psychoanalysis anger is understood as a manifestation of frustrated love. In Ireland, unmarried fathers have absolutely no legal rights in regard of their children. I cannot say that it is my opinion that my former partner is a borderline personality/ obsessive alienator in the courts. To do so is defamation. October 24, 2011 I voluntarily walked in treatment and sought help with mental issues and addictions. I am not on probation or parole. My choice was to have my son stay with grandma and the next thing I know is that she is filing for temporary custody of my son. Four years later there are more holes in this case that has lead to not one single attorney will talk to me!!! The parental alienation is so so so severly sickening. My mother has brain washed my 19 year old son since he was 6 and now is scared to death of me and will not speak to me, and it has been 6 years since we have spoken. On Oct 2, 2013 I received phone call he has leukemia and is in ICU, and I am not allowed to see or speak to him. Now with my 11 year old she has brain washed him to he point he hates me and so so so rude to me to the point I will not be his punching bag. This woman has lied to my children and managed to keep them from me. How is this humane? DCF will not investigate....could it be because of who she is? HOW IS IT JUSTIFIED THAT IT IS OK TO TEACH CHILDREN TO HATE THEIR PARENT (S)? MY NARCISSIST MOTHER HAPPENS TO MAKE THEM SCARED TO SHOW ANY FORM OF AFFECTION TOWARDS ME AND THEY ARE EVEN SCARED TO SMILE AT ME OR WAVE!!!!!!! WTF? CONGRESS, YOU BETTER GET OFF YOUR*****AND DO SOMETHING....AFTER ALL THIS******I HAVE ENCOUNTERED I FULLY UNDERSTAND THE MENTAL SNAP PEOPLE HAVE HAD IN OUR COUNTRY'S HISTORY AND BEFORE YOU KNOW IT CRIME SPREES, MASS MURDERS, AND SUICIDE ARE ALREADY IN ACTION. Until recently I didn't even know anything about PAS. Every time I heard about some dad that wasn't in their child's life I always assumed it was because they did't was to be. I can not believe that it is ok in the eyes of the law for one parent to not allow the other parent to not see their child. If I hadn't watched someone fight for to see his child and still, after 6 contempt orders, not be allowed with no consequences to the ex I don't know that I would have believed that our legal system is so corrupt.REPORT COMMENTS

My precious daughter is being brought to the brink of suicide as she is pulled apart by a father who will not accept that she also loves me, her mommy. I and my extended family have been villified and repeatedly falsely accused for years now, and he uses her to make those wrongful allegations, resulting in crushing feelings of guilt inside her. This is child abuse squared!! I pray that the Lord would help the courts to wake up. More than that I pray that there would be restoration to the sanctity of marriage. I am a mother who is being alienated by my ex husband and I have been trying to fight this for 4 years now with no luck or justice from the family courts here in Lincoln County, Missouri where I Live. My child is displaying very strong signs of this mental abuse by his father and new wife and he shows anger and hatred towards me as well and now since he is 16 the courts say its his choice but refuse to have him go to counseling as I have requested. I am now going on a month since my last scheduled custody exchange and have been completely shut off from all communication to my son by phone and social media and even threatened by both my ex and my son to be arrested if I show up anywhere just to see my son (there isn't a restraining order yet either but if I try to see my son they will file for one im sure). I wasn't aware of the amount of families that this type of abuse is happening to and we need to stop this nationwide.REPORT COMMENTS

This IS an epidemic and family courts do not take the time to figure out what is really going on. The judges do not want to know who the liar is. The kids are brainwashed and withheld from the other parent so if they are ever "interviewed" by busy court appointed social workers, they invariably say they love one parent and want nothing to do with the other parents. In our case it is our kids alienated from our ex-son-in-law--their dad--and we have not been allowed to see them. Our daughter is the alienator and none of the judges sees the damage she is doing to the kids.REPORT COMMENTS

I have suffered a great deal of loss because my daughters father has kept her from me for four years now with no legal presentation I miss my daughter every day. He has also convinced her that I am an abuser which was not the case, he only got custody because at the time I was homeless and I was thinking of her well being to go with her father until I got my own place.
