The Kurdish people are the only ones in Iraq that have had our back since the beginning. Recently it was reported that Afghanistan has a surplus of weaponry, but we keep sending arms to them anyway. Perhaps these surplus arms shipments can be diverted to the Kurds to help stabilize the north?REPORT COMMENTS

I taught at Nawroz University in Duhok, Kurdistan, Iraq from 2010-2013. The Kurds are wonderful people and love America. They are solid allies of America. Now they face a mortal threat from ISIS, and ISIS is a threat to the whole of the civilized world. It is in our interest to supply the Peshmerga with all the arms they need, as well as to provide air cover for them. We need to back them 100%! Sincerely, Dr. Paul S. StevensonREPORT COMMENTS

We turned our backs on the Vietnamese people after the Vietnam war, We turned our backs on the Iraqi people and the Kurds after the first Gulf War, We are currently turning our backs on these people again. I served in Kirkuk in the US Army in 2005-2006 and am ashamed of my country for its lack of action in helping the people we promised to support.REPORT COMMENTS

The Kurds are fighting terrorism for the entire world. America should be the first to go help, being that the Kurds have been nothing but Loyal Allies to them. America not only needs to give out modern day weapons but they need to step in and help them fight side by side, and most importantly help save those indigent yizidis who are losing hope because they don't have food and water for their dying children.REPORT COMMENTS

It is about time the US expanded its military, humanitarian, and political support for the Kurds, the US's best friends in the Middle East. It is time the US stopped its opposition to the sale of Kurdisan oil. It is time that the US stopped supporting the myth of Iraq as a unified country and supported an Independent Kurdistan.REPORT COMMENTS
