The animal cruelty laws are a joke. First off when it occurs the person/persons should be put in prison longer than the idiot laws in place now. Second, the abuser/abusers need their names on a government registry (much like those in.place for child molesters) with a picture and the reason why they cannot own any animal species. Domesticated Animals are completely vulnerable to humans and have no way of making their own choices about their fate. Humans irrational decisions to harm animals and sometimes even torture them almost always end with a slap on the wrist. There is no way for pets or animals to comprehend why they are being abused and have no way to express their pain or to stop it. Animal Cruelty should be one of the most severe crimes and carry unforgiving punishments. The couple that just got 50 years for filming multiple animal torture (crush) scenes and uploading them online should be put away forever.REPORT COMMENTS
