These animals have no way to speak for themselves, they can't say 'Would someone please care enough to help me?" "Please don't let them hurt me anymore." We HAVE to be their voice. We HAVE to send the message that enough is enough. L

Please help stop animal abuse with harsher punishment..Its not right so many animals are treated so badly and the people who are doing these horrible crimes dont get the punishment they deserve.

We have a moral and ethical responsibility as a society to protect those less able to protect themselves (both human and animal) and to prevent actions of carelessness and violence. It is not a far stretch from not respecting life to other crimes and such persons should rightfully, be severely punished and hopefully educated in the wrongs of their actions. Whether we believe animals are here to serve humans or not, there is never an excuse for not respecting life and doing all we can to preclude suffering that we too would hope to never endure.

I agree that the laws are not harsh or strict enough. Too many precious animals are being abused. We need to stop the nonsense and save the animals!

Animals are creatures who inhabited this Earth before we did. We should treat them with respect and love as they show us. WE NEED TO STAND UP FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT STAND UP FOR THEMSELEVES. Those who abuse the innocent animals of this world will escalate to bringing harm to other humans in time. Stop the vicious cycle and bring criminals to justice for harming loving animals!

There have been a multitude of heinous acts against animals, dog in particular, that are unspeakable in nature. The perpetrators believe they can get away with it. Please make a difference and create laws to prevent this.

Any person who would hurt an animal is only one step away from hurting people. They need to be punished and a life time stigma attached to their name.

Please take in consideration some of the .ost recent stories of aninal cruelty lately especially the well known "puppy doe" case. These type of people are known to hurt children and become murders. Once stricter laws are passed these horrible stories will become more rare and these people can receive the right punishment for the crimes they committed and hopefully save lives of innocent animals and possible people. Please do the right thing and punish these sick individuals who think its ok to hurt innocent living creatures.

We do NEED stricter laws. For example, an evaluation of whoever is adopting the pet. Because if someone ever abuses a small animal for the "fun" of it or remotely thinks it's okay, it shows they have enough of a twisted psyche to be put somewhere more..suited..to their cruel behavior.

I'm so glad to see some progress done in the prevention of animal cruelty, now there needs to be stricter punishment against the abusers...I say at least 10 years in prison..and to be banned permanently from ever owning any animal of any kind. And make them take a sensitivity class
