I have seen so many videos of animal abuse on Facebook lately, and it MUST STOP! We need to find these people and punish them to the FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW! These animals are totally innocent and are being beaten in a way that is unforgivable. Puppies being kicked around, dogs being thrown off bridges, kittens being thrown in a river, a goat being punched in the face so hard I thought it's neck would break....just to name a few! These poor, innocent animals did nothing to deserve this type of treatment. The amount of animal cruelty is unbelievable and unacceptable. People do cruel things to animals and go on to commit severe crimes against humanity. It needs to stop and people need to be held accountable and given harsh punishment. I guarantee, if there were harsh penalties for animal abuse. People who are cruel to animals need to face stricter penalties. People who are capable of committing horrendous acts on animals are terrible people and not fit to cohabitate with decent society. $1000 fine and or one year prison in New York are not enough punishment. For example this lady Jocelyn Evans, Henrietta NY is a director of Excellbus BCBS.... She left her two dogs outside all day without water or shelter and both dogs died. She makes over 100k a year. I'm sure paying $1000 fine is a drop in a bucket to her! We need to make a new law to go by like 30% of income to pay fine for each animals that were abused in any form and 5 years of jail time . I think that will change a lot! Need laws to requires all pets to be spayed/neutered. Also Stop companies that tests animals....there is no need for that. Use prisoners that are on death rows because they can give feedbacks on the results of experiments!REPORT COMMENTS

I have a 10 year old Shitzu mix and I adore him. When I read about what individuals do to their pets it breaks my heart. I believe we need to have stricter laws when it comes to neglecting an animal, I don't understand how a small fine of $200 or whatever amount it is makes it okay for an animal to be injured or killed. And in return, they give us so much more. They are truly no different than children and it is our obligation to protect them in the same manner as we would a child.
