I rescued a female Labrador Retriever from a puppy mill where they had 3 stud dogs in the small cage with her in hopes that one would breed her. The pen was covered with mud, feces and urine. "Bella" had such sore feet she could hardly walk. The owners told me if I did not buy her they would shoot her that same day. It may have cost me $100. to rescue her but I could not leave her in such horrible conditions and the threat of her being shot. Our Veterinarian was shocked when he examined her and treated her for infections. We did not know how old she was for her teeth were broken and worn down from chewing on the pen. I reported this puppy mill to The Humane Society of the United States. I hope that it was shut down for there were about 100 dogs in small cages and pens that were over crowded and filthy. So please stop puppy mills and stop pet stores from selling these poor dogs and cats.REPORT COMMENTS
