Parents have to have a job in order to pay support.In order to get to that job a parent needs a license or they can't drive to work.The child does suffer more when that parent can't drive bc then no paycheck.I'm a parent of 4 my oldest is a full time college student living on his own trying to also work and finish his Sr year and his license have been suspended by child support.They all ready took all his income tax and now this.As of Jan 2017 he was only 200 some behind.Please put a stop to suspending of license.The mother of his child only let's his see her maybe 1 a week yet he has to still pay this.He paid an attorney 1500 out of his school money for her to do nothing but want more money.May 11th, 2017Tony R. from Jesup, GA writes:
Ridiculous law.. a woman had to come up with this. I have had several life changing job opportunities and the only reason I couldn't get them is because of this foolish law. I have always tried my best to stay current but I fell ill for a few months and since I've had a hard time making things up. I have a document that I will post! I got hurt at work an feel behind in child support got my drivers license suspended and had no way to get to work as a result of that I ended up getting tickets for driving without a license and now I'm a huge hole I can't seem to get out I can't get a job because I can't drive and when I do and before I can make payment I get another ticket and it's never for speeding it's always because I drive at night an cops say they can't see my plates which is always a lie but can't argue since I have no license by the I mostly work graveyard I'll never be able to get out of this huge holeREPORT COMMENTS

STOP IT!Their are non custodian parents that wont to be the best parents to the children and in there childrens life the best That can be..its not all the true about all non custodian parents as they say about the father being a dead beat its not true..I will say that it is a down spiral for any father to step up and become a dream an Great kid will dream to have..the chances are slim to none for a chance to be given when we are actually money don't mean the all to a child talking about even a child visitation rights are more powerful i then money it varies some peoples its not for every father..their are Great fathers.REPORT COMMENTS

I was a transit bus driver. I was ordered to pay child support by the state of Tn. The order also included back support owed. The back support caused a immediate suspension of my license. No license=no payments from me. This caused me to fall further behind. Now I am so far behind that I will likely never catch up. Courts are looking for me to serve court papers to me that will in the end lead to me being in jail. Good luck getting payments from me while in jail lol. Bottom line. The state took my ability to pay away and now would like to punish me for not paying. PUNISH AWAY! I have been to jail bed=fore and could use the break from real life for a while. Your other option is to return my license so I can go to work and start making payments. On a side note. I went to court and asked a judge to return my license with for work use only restriction and was told no. I was informed that it was a all or none deal. Since I could not pay all I would get no license. I am unemployed thanks to the wonderful state of Tennessee. My obligation is over 800 a month and I have a 500 a month income. Child Support Guidelines violate Constitutional Rights , State Constitutional rights, Bill of Rights , Civil Rights it's a new form of Slavery ( even that was legal at some point if time) Judicial Procedures shall never be allowed in Executive Hearings it violates separation of Powers also, Impartial proceedings to generate revenue with gangland like tactics, The Child Support Agency is a Private Entity EMPLOYED by the Executive Branch which means their a Debt Collection Company with State Powers , does Walmart or Target (which are private companies also) possess these perks ? No! Our Government has knowledge of the corruption but turns a blind eye , The Patriot Act actually classify the Department of Human Services as a domestic threat to civil liberties.REPORT COMMENTS

This is unbelievably true. These sanctions are added by child support organizations without consideration for the very children they are supposed to help. Automated system that is implemented without understanding the families indivdual situations. Even though support is being paid they plan on suspending auto, registration,and three work licenses that will cost several hundred dollars in fees to reinstated payable to comm of mass, not my children.REPORT COMMENTS

When this is found to be true, an immediate cessation of any enforcement suspensions should occur, pending an audit to determine the damages to the custodial parent. Not being able to get my License is hard for me I have unreliable transportation to and from work setting so therefor its hard for me to keep up on my child support with out a License. The New York State Child Support suspended my license not to mention I have never had a license before would make it a lot easier to stay on top of child support if I had transportation. Living in the middle of no where with no car or even public transporation and every store or restaurant is 6 to 15 miles away that's an extremey long walk for meREPORT COMMENTS

My ex put me on for a third time without me knowing. I was pulled over and told my license was suspended. She'd given the agency out old address from 10 years ago and was granted a default judgement when i didnt respond. I was behind almost two years on both kids and child support refused to help me unless i payed my support up to three months on both kids. I tried to get legal aid and was told my support had to be caught up for assistance.REPORT COMMENTS
