They just impounded my car yesterday because of the reinstatement fees and stuff that come along with that it's impossible to get caught up with your rear edge when they take your driver's license and take your vehicle and make you pay to get it back this needs to stop because it's mainly aimed towards African-Americans they think we're riding around all day on big rims listen to music they never think on the other side that a person is trying to work to catch up with his rear edge and if they suspend your license you can't pay reinstatement fees you can't pay the back pay at the same time they need to let that s*** go and stop it -

I think suspending ones drivers license for child support is irrational. How do expect that person to work and get caught up on their delinquent arrangements? By doing this that person is being put further into hardship. I say this because I've lost my job and home due to my license being ripped away while trying to make a living.REPORT COMMENTS

Iam a service technician for ford went to college for it when i was 18 in hopes of building a future since child support was used as a tool of spite when i relocated to montana to be with sick family they suspended it out the gate causing me to lose my job then my home thenaccrue huge financial fees for ddriving on a suspended resulting in jail time and forced labor i can't find a job in my profession and have no history in any other field which has resulted in not being able to pay any support and spiralling my life credit etc out of control this needs to stop.REPORT COMMENTS

I have for different cases that I have been trying to keep up with for the last 22 years and been doing then best I can do. with making some sum decisions in my life that caused me to be incarcerated in my life here and there made me realized I have to straighten up fast in order to take care of my children and be a good father figure. But recently here I got on a payment plan and was doing well but I lost two different jobs due to my background. I am currently working on my background but in the midst of all this keeping up with my high monthly payments and fighting for another child that I have in another state cause my license to be suspended due to a payment that I missed. Yes I was delinquent 90 days but made pay agreements and I was two days late because of a new child support order I had got modified through courts. After the court order was modified it was submitted to one of the facilities in downtown Chicago and from that facility the New Order didn't make it to the driver's license unit in Springfield Chicago. they suspended my license anyway after I work so hard to get my arrearage down and to make the payment. I currently have a visitation with one of my kids that I am the sole Transportation provider in the case and now my license are gone and they won't even accept my money. I used to be in security and then started working in the Rideshare program and that's the field that I work in. I need my license desperately and the state of Illinois is not trying to hear me at all. I used to work in the field of security to fall back on but now I can't even work for them because of my professional license being suspended. I know every man is supposed to pay his obligations. But because of my mistakes in the past that I have to fix causes me to lose a job or two here and there. I'm becoming of age now and realize I have to work on my background by getting expungements Etc. But getting caught for suspended license just adds more fuel to the fire of not being able to progress in this life and being a asset to my kids or Society. Please help us fathers that is trying and have a record of trying. In child support to me the good guys do not win regardless of how much they try to keep up with these high payments and these interest on these payments. We're mentally and physically dying out here due to stress and the taunting from some of these baby mamas out here that knows the system. Thanks from a dad that's trying.REPORT COMMENTS

I think our country needs to look at things better one if the mothers won't let the guy see the kids then the mothers should **** themselves and not go after the dada for child support and 2 if the state wants their money so bad then they should be smart about it and make it so the parent that has to pay can live too so they don't end up homeless and on the streets with no job they should at least not suspend licences when you need that just to work now a days and they should make sure that the person stuck pay child support can pay their own bills too and they need to stop with the favoritetisime my kids deserve to be supported by their dads too but that right Minnesota told me to go **** myself when I was on county assitance and requested child support WTF is wrong with that picture huh? Oh and I almost forgot to mention my daughter has type one diabities and my son has autism and my youngest son has migraine headaches and insomnia where are their dads to pay for half the medical bills for them huh?REPORT COMMENTS

It is messed up I moved from MN to CA with my boyfriend because child support would go by his income and they took everything from him now we are homeless on the streets and he can't find work now they want to suspend his licence too and take away the only thing we have left to our names I had to give my kids to my parents because of his child support taking everything we had and get this they child support won't even let me file child support payments on my exs when they work and don't support the kids they have with me so because I have 3 kids to take care of with no help besides my parents and my boyfriend can't find a job cause we can't shower cause MN child support took everything we had thanks to them I can't be with my kids so in the end my kids suffer and the state won't go after my kids dads for support for my kids I think that's messed up but they know how to go after my boyfriend now for support for his exs and his exs won't even let him see his kids and MN refuses to go after those women on his behalf for visitation where are his rights at and where are mine and my kids rights at WTF is wrong with the system it's like they have their favorite people to screw over and **** the rest of us rightREPORT COMMENTS

I have two suspensions as a result of Failure to pay child support for two children ages 21 and 13. The youngest one has lived with me for 8 yrs even though when he was born i.was ordered to pay child support. Oldest child is now 21 and i payed child support until his mother no longer needed it because she got remarried. I had payed in cash 80% of the time but kept no reciets. I now have no driver lic. and cant find proper employment and gone into debt and find it hard to take care of my youngest child. His mother suffers from mental issues and cant take care of him. I dont see any solution. I am hoping that some day the state of fla will grant me a temporary driver lic. so that i may a return to my contracting business and start to make a decent enough living to take care of my youngest child.REPORT COMMENTS

My husband wants to help with child support but cant get a job without a current license so he can start paying. please do away with the license suspension for delinquent child support so my ex can pay me. why make it harder on good people that have bad things happen to them?? I know and trust my ex to pay WHEN he can clear his license. he has great opportunities for employment but this delay for him getting a job to pay back support is only hurting me and my son. this system is so backwards.
