You want to know what is the most chilling thing about this? We know what Assad's forces are doing. There are eyewitnesses telling us hourly/daily, begging for someone to check Russia and Assad. We let Hitler murder millions but at least we had no way of knowing then how bad it really was, what with all the propaganda being the only news that reached the outside world. Of course I'm not equating these two crises. We shut out the Jews and wouldn't let them migrate here when it might have saved hundreds of thousands, yes. But today it's much more than that. Families who never had any intention or desire to leave their homes are being slaughtered while the international community knowingly stands by. We are more than happy to send our military to kill, but the US draws the line at taking ANY action, even just saying something OUT LOUD (let alone intervening to save lives in imminent danger). What the ****. The facts about what is happening doesn't even appear to be something Obama (let alone Trump) needs to acknowledge. What is wrong with us?REPORT COMMENTS

The U.S. and the word should be ashamed of itself. Why hasn't Bashar Al-Assad been taken to the Hague for war crimes? In 1993, the United Nations (UN) Security Council passed a resolution to establish within the Hague, Netherlands, an ad hoc international 14-judge court expressly mandated to prosecute and adjudicate War Crimes, Genocide, and crimes against humanity. If this can not be used against Assad, I don't understand its purpose at all. How can the world watch as he murders anyone who stands against him. Women and children are dying in the streets and all men are shot onsite. today, December 13th, it is reported that 20 women committed suicide to avoid being raped by Assad's men. Please help and do what you can to stop the killing of children in wars they do not deserve to pay the price of foolishness I wish I could get five minutes alone with anyone who hurts or kills a child sorry but if your a parent then you can relate to the innocent children and families that are being slaughtered and torn apart please I hope that you can understand what needs to be done and why children can't pick their environments or families and it's hard enough being a child these days but could you imagine being a child and having to think and keep in mind that you could die that day and that your family members are dead and you don't know what's going to happen instead of worring about playing with your sibblings and going to school and love going to school and learning and wanting to hopefully be someone who could make a difference in the world some day instead of worring to see if your going to live long enough to have a future I dare all of you to walk half a mile in their shoes ... What's the matter those children have more guts and courage than you don't they face it you couldn't survive in their world could you ! They have no choice and need a voice to speak for them do you have the guts and courage to at least do that for them look I know that sure we have problems in this country and of our own but we don't have to worry about living to see the next day that is a nightmare for these children.
