Stop the Epipen Price Gouging

Messages Sent So Far
We ask that there be an investigation and regulation into the 420% (adjusted for inflation!) increase in the price of Epipens since 2004.

Millions of people with severe allergies carry EpiPens to reverse life-threatening allergic reactions.

With this oppressive price increase, many EMT's and families are turning to manual syringes as a cheaper alternative, though doctors and patient advocates warn that it?s more complicated to get the correct dose of epinephrine and it administer safely with a syringe. Some families will be forced to hang on to expired Epipens, or worse, go without entirely.

There is no discernible reason for the increase other than Mylan's desire to use their monopoly to exploit the need for this life-saving medication for exorbitant profit.

Thank you.

How ridiculous take advantage of having a cornered market, $600 after insurance coverage. Shame on our leaders for allowing this to happen to hard working people.

For people who think "corporate greed" is an oxymoron, here's your answer: Epipen. For people who believe free trade really works, here's your answer: Epipen. Shame, shame, shame on Mylan, and shame on Congress if nothing is done about this.

A boycott Mylan has been organized at MylanBoycott.net. Boycott Objectives: 1. Maintain wide availability of Epipens at about $150 or less per 2-pack. 2. Boycott the thousands of other products sold by the Mylan Company. 3. Complete replacement of Mylan Company Officers and Board of Directors. 4. Accurate, honest, legal, peaceful, benefical action items. 5. Show that public backlash can bring medical extortionists to financial ruin.

It's ridiculous to exploit the general public, patients, schools and providers for such an essential life saving medication. If such companies are not careful and continue, I hope legislation is enacted to allow life saving medication either automatically generic or allowing release as an over the counter purchase.

Heather Bresch has already lied to Congress about the actual monetary gains she and Mylan have reaped at the cost of Human Life, take a look at her fellow CEO over at Yahoo http://www.foxbusiness.com/features/2016/10/04/report-yahoo-secretly-scanned-customer-emails-for-u-s-intelligence.html These 2 nefarious whores should be hung side by side, along with the phucktard Wells Fargo CEO (let's just make it ALL CEOs, as 4 out of 5 of them are bonafide psychopaths)

I have been lucky to have gotten emergency medical intervention during some of my severe acute allergy reactions. I can't imagine not receiving what I need to live/survive.

I think it is an outrage that the US government does not use Anti-Trust laws to break up a number of firms covering a wide spectrum of products to foster more competition and reduce prices. Healthcare is only the tip of the iceberg. Consolidations have increased tremendously as a result of easy credit and companies able to buy each other up instead of investing in future products. The areas that are most critical to people are exactly those that are targeted for monopoly type schemes exactly because demand is inelastic. This applies to health, education, food and some limited portions of the energy markets. The price of television has gone done, partly because of innovation, but also due to the fact that nobody really needs them as a first necessity. I am a firm believer in capitalism, but it is exactly the role of government to intervene with regulations in exactly these areas where the system does not work so well because of natural tendencies towards monopolies. Instead, large corporations actually write the legislation to benefit themselves and play revolving door games to for personal gain at the expense of the american people. As for Heather Bresch and Mylan, Congress should hold her in contempt for lying to them. The only thing she deserves is jail time. Back a number of years ago, she would have been tarred and feathered, or hung. There is no doubt in my mind that she has blood on her hands, including dead children because parents could not afford to purchase an epipen. I wish congress all the best in getting this woman and her corporation what they deserve. I hope that people recognize her wherever she goes, and never let her forget.

Hello, My family and I are fortunate not to worry about the affordablility of the product but I find it difficult to accept Pharmaceutical companies charging so much $ when we can get this from other countries at much lesser price (ex Canada). As my rep I hope you can stend up against this big companies so they don't monopolize this industry and effect the lives of the people who are struggling. I will be keeping watch as to how the people of our community are represented. Thanks for your time.

Can't put a price on saving a life. Especially when that price is more than the average family can afford. Mylan should be ashamed of themselves. They are nothing but greedy monsters.
