I do not want Common Core math taught to the Elementary or Middle School students. If you want to introduce it then do it in the higher grades. I recently saw a problem of 43-13=30 This how it should be taught but in core math you had them do 6 different steps to get to the answer. I see no reason to have a child do 6 different steps to get an answer in 3. Get rid of Core Math. And by the way I read an article from people who think this math is great and they suggested if you can't help your child with the math then spend more money to learn this math or send your child to after school classes or to pay people to teach our children this math. Wrong, get back to teaching our children the right way.REPORT COMMENTS

To much time is spent on these so called "Math" problems, just to get them ready for a test, so your state scores look nice. What about what my daughter needs in life? Neither my wife, who is a certified elementary school teacher from the Philllippines, nor myself are able to make sense of Common Core math. It is a crime to take what used to be simple formulas to solve math problems and transform them into such convoluted procedures to arrive at the answer. This insanity needs to stop.
