My son Nick's death fit the "choking game" profile on every count, yet local law enforcement officials refused to thoroughly investigate his death. Because there was no crime committed, resources could not be spared for the investigation and there was a strong refusal to consider his death as anything more than a suicide. A brief investigation finally took place six months after Nick's death, because of my tireless efforts to find the truth. Today, fifteen months following his death, most of the evidence which points to the choking game has never been looked at or included in the investigation. We need to be sure that awareness about this deadly behavior becomes understood by everyone.REPORT COMMENTS
