These are stoppable deaths. They aren't from cancer or tragic accidents. They are from uninformed, unaware youth. We have the answers to stop this. We need help getting it out there to communities, schools, children and parents.REPORT COMMENTS

This is not a game and should he talked about to every child or adolesent from their parents, doctors and teachers. We are losing too many children to this horrific tragedy our children call a game. Many parents are not aware that is so called “game” even exists till it is to late. I recently had a friend whose son, age 13, died from this “game” . We will never forget this loving boy who was so full of life. His life was taken way to early and this could have been prevented if there was much more awareness and discussions by doctors and teachers.REPORT COMMENTS

My son Nathan was playing this game. Had I known what to look for I might have been able to save him, I will never know. He died on September 17th 2017. My son loved life and everybody in it. He didn't know the consequences. Schools should be educating children and parents on this issue. If there is one thing I will do in his memory, it will be to continue to share these posts. If children can be saved then I am on board.REPORT COMMENTS

I lost my only child to this game last month. A 13 year old boy named Nathan. A vibrant prankster, adored by his mother, and quite the accomplished whitewater kayaker for a boy his age. Very well known amongst the paddling community here in the western Carolinas, and even had paddling friends as far as Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia. We are certain that he learned about this at school, but I was both confused and angered to learn that many schools refuse to recognize this threat to our children. All parents should be aware of this. At least they should know what the most common warning signs are. His mom and I have led an empty life since this happened and see no end in sight. There was no warning and no warning signs that we picked up on until after it was too late. I will try my best to make every parent aware of this, as knowledge is indeed power. Had we known 2 months ago what we know now, who knows???REPORT COMMENTS
