This is a tax against whites. Also they wouldn't be taxing tannin if they realized most tanning salons are barely making it right now!!!Dec 28th, 2009Someone from Lakeland, FL writes:

I find it a bit unsettling that in the United Sates we are proposing a tax that will be targeting a specific ethnic group. If the circumstances were different and if tanning salons were owned by 65% of black women would congress have proposed this tax?REPORT COMMENTS

Indoor Tanning salon owners often work to provide for their entire family, and a 10% tax will be difficult - if not impossible - to pass along, which means that it digs into the owners income, which results in less available income to spend in the economy. This is a grass roots industry which can ill absorb, let alone afford, another expense. It will kill 1000's of salons, and 1000's of jobs.REPORT COMMENTS

Please say no to the 10% tax on tanning. This is very unfair to a small business owner like myself. Obama has lied to all of us if this is passed. He said anyone making under 200K would not be taxed to pay for the Health Care Bill. Since I am a female and a small business owner I feel very violated and discriminated against.REPORT COMMENTS

I will personally be laying off 9 employees starting 1 July 2010 if this tax is imposed on my small business. This makes no sense and will further cost Americans jobs. I am retired military vet, female owned business. I served this country for the majority of my life and I will certainly be taxed out of business, my living and will lose the people I am employing and keeping in a paycheck.REPORT COMMENTS

Obama said anyone making under 200K would not be taxed to pay for his Health Bill this is taxing those under 200K both predominately female small business owners and our predominately female clients. I am a health finatic and tan for my health, there is no second hand tan and no DUI's with my right to tan moderately. There are now over 25,000 peer reviewed studies on the health benefits of moderate UV exposure.REPORT COMMENTS
