These people are doing whatever they can to try to get pitty. They fabricate all these stories to get their families all riled up so they will write everyone they can acquire an address for. Typical scum trying to not do the time for their CRIMES.REPORT COMMENTS

Senator Mitch McConnell: 317 Russell Senate Office Building Washington,DC 20510-1702 Honorable Mitch McConnell: United States Senate: Dear Sir: I have a close friend in this facility. She was a healthy 39 year old woman, and in a short month she is having multiple medical issues. I am told the meat is expired sometimes 1 or 2 years. They have no air condition in the 90 heat and only get a small cup of ice per day. Imagine if this was one of your family members- your daughter for instance. Please do something about this. The conditions are inhumane. Respectfully YoursREPORT COMMENTS

Senator Mitch McConnell: 317 Russell Senate Office Building Washington,DC 20510-1702 Honorable Mitch McConnell: United States Senate: Dear Sir: In one of my many correspondence to you, concerning various legislation issues,i once asked about incarcerated federal inmates possibilities of parole! If memory serves, your response to me was, that under federal guidelines, you were restricted from getting involved in either state or federal judicial issues,of the fore-mentioned issue of parole! However i respectfully request that you,or an appropriate committee, investigate the ill treatment of the women inmates at, FMC Satellite Camp Atwood.Lexington,Kentucky 40512 I have an inmate relative there, who has informed family members of the horrendous conditions at this federal facility! Senator,i will not comment on the name of my relative who is incarcerated there, due to possible retaliation from prison staff! Sir,i will not stand idly by,while these alleged conditions of basic human rights are violated! Thank you Senator McConnell for your time! If i must submit a letter to another source, please be so kind as to direct me to the correct facility/source! With thankful regards: I Remain: Respectfully: Rev:Cletus G.Holloway:REPORT COMMENTS

This is funny. The camp in Lexington is one of the best places to do time in the bureau. Me and some of my other friends did time there and actually benefited from their services. We had good education classes, awesome religious program, recreation, I even learned to crochet. These people are just trying to get pitty from everyone. I can guarantee you that during my 5 years there I never seen in humane conditions or shackles. That's rediculous!REPORT COMMENTS

In addition to the heat - the women sleep on matresses cover in plastic (to avoid bed bugs). So the heat is intensified and sleep is extremely difficult when the temperature rises. Additionally when the heat rises, the bugs, rats, cockroaches and ants that totally infest the Satelitte Camp make their appearance which makes for an unhealthy and unsafe environment. Yes, the women are in prison due to poor judgement and are doing their time as best they can. However, there are elderly women at the Camp (up to 83 years old) and women who are sick - and these ladies do not and can not tolerate the heat well. Yet there's no relief for any of them. Shouldn't there be some humane way for these folks to serve their time? Maybe instead of installing more computers for MP3 downloads (which generates income for the prison) - maybe a better use for the money would have been to install air conditioning???REPORT COMMENTS

I remember times that it would be 120 degrees and not seeing any ice for months at a time in Iraq and Afghanistan. I remember running out of water and having to drink our IV bags that we had to use if we got shot. Why should inmates be treated better than our troops? Our troops never stole anything, sold drugs, or cheated the government in anyway. The treatment that the inmates spoke of is all fabricated. They never complain during their softball tournaments or eating steak for their holiday meals (no exageration). I remember eating a MRE for Christmas Dinner several times. As a matter of fact I remember our Army cooks showing us the packages our food come in. On the the boxes in bold black letters it said, "Not suitable for prison use.) Kinda makes you realize how our priorities are so jacked up that we worry about the criminals more than we do our troops. Let them sweat a little bit.REPORT COMMENTS

There is a comment stating that these are not the conditions and its just family trying to get early releases for the inmates. Right, This is the e mail I received this morning from MY sister :" go to satelite camp Atwood for women. or just search. Read how we are being treating as inhumane. This old process is inhumane. Why would they put handcuff and shackle my legs for 12hours then throw me a bologna sandwich and later throw me a bottle water. We women are are suffering . WHY? help us family" Why wouldn't we try to cry out for cruel treatment like this. This is a low security facility with non violent crimes. This is not how you treat a fellow human being. If you work there, You should be ashamed of yourselfREPORT COMMENTS

This is all false. This prison is not this bad the inmates are just trying to get early releases. Anyone with common sense can see that this is all the inmates' families that are signing this. They are just trying to get attention from congressmen/women. They are all legit inmates who deserve to do their time. They are just trying to get over on your tax dollars.REPORT COMMENTS
