It is imperative that the USDA be given the power to do what is necessary to protect the public. We should be allowed to boycott companies who fight this necessary protection. It's absolutely inconceivable thatgovernment agencies that are charged with keeping the consumer safe from contamination in food production facilties do not have the authority to close plants that habitually produce contaminated food and worse yet....continue to make ill and even kill unsuspecting Americans. This is wrong on every level. These bigt companies should be ashamed of themselves. The Clinton and Bush adminstrations should be held responsible for allowing corporate American to own our government. Kevins law still has not passed? This is an outrage. The management and any lobbyist who protect them should immediatley be placed in jail and the companies immediatley dismantled. Extreme? I think not! People....CHILDREN have lost their lives because the meat packing industry do not wish to spend the money and our cowardly political figures will not face them.
