The justice system is extremely dysfunction at every level. It is absurd to have people incarcerated for such great lengths of time. Our system is harsh and unforgiving and lacks humanity. I think we need to let non violent prisoners out of prison. Have them wear a bracelet and simply track them if there are issues. Parole needs to be brought back all these laws that are passing are for drug offences there are many more people who are non violent and deserve a second chance. I ask for Obama and congress to reinstate parole there are a lot of kids that needs there fathers and mothers at home. Just think if it was one of your kids or grandkids. Our kids needs a 2nd chance and I pray that you consider bringing back parole for the Fed inmates. State has parole and good days and everything while the bop system has nothing. As a tax payer I feel its more costly to house all these inmates in the bop for such lengthy times they are sent so far away from home. Inmates do so much time that family members die friends leave. A huge part of rehabilitation is support of family members. Please bring parole back.REPORT COMMENTS

Reagan and congress had no problem taking away parole but obama and congress wont reinstate it? If it was a congressmans child in prison this would most likley nit be an issue. State has parole and good days and everything while the bop systym has nothing.
