We have had horses just dumped off in our pasture -skin and bones. You talking about pain and suffering. It breaks my heart .

I love training horses and since horse slaughter has been banned I have seen more starving, suffering, horses than ever before. The ban has hurt the horses and the horse industry.

The country is broke. Quit wasting money on unwanted horses and put them to good use as a food source.

Restoring the horse industry is vital to the humane care of horses, the agriculture industry, and the economic development of the United States.

If you eat meat of any sort or drink milk, you are a hypocrite if you are against horse slaughter. Why waste good protein by putting a horse not fit for work in the ground? Slaughter horses have a withdrawal time before slaughter unlike the hormone and antibiotic filled cattle. If US horses can't be used for meat, then all other forms should be banned for the same reason. Be realistic, people. Bring the industry back into the United States.
