    It is a national and international scandal the number of horses that are killed after they no longer can run fast enough for their slave drivers. There are too many horses bred every year and they are treated as disposables. No mare needs to have a colt every year and we certainly don't need to be sending our beautiful horses for meat to slaughter houses. If you can't afford to keep them forever, don't breed them or purchase them.
