To get a decent paying job most require some type of degree. The problem is the cost of that degree is more then what you can make. The monthly payments are high making it hard to take care of a familyApr 20th, 2016Someone from Gloversville, NY signed.

Please help unburden the people in debt from student loans. Many of whom don't even work in their field of study!REPORT COMMENTS

All the same consumer credit/lending protections need to be restored to student loans, and lenders need regulations and scrutiny. People are being robbed and scammed by predatory private lenders. People would like reasonable terms to be able to repay their loans.REPORT COMMENTS

When my husband and I left school 10 years ago we had $220K in debt that our parents co-signed on. We have made on time payments in the tune of $180k since then. Becuase of interest rates, loans being sold and terms changed we now have $250K in student loan debt!! I'm dealing with some medical issues now and making our payments is a struggle. If we default we put both our parents along with us into financial ruin for the rest of our lives. Post-secondary education predatory lending has been out of control since the late 90s. Something needs to happen NOW!REPORT COMMENTS

This predatory and oppressive education loan fiasco is a cancer on this society in my view. It is a disgrace that borrower protections available to citizens and businesses are not available to student borrowers. This is state sponsered discrimination and financial terrorism that must end now.REPORT COMMENTS

I have paid over $17000. on student loan that totaled $8000, and am still shown as owing $13000. This is predatory lending at it's worst since bankruptcy protection has been removed. Please help correct this! It is impossible for me to pay this off in my lifetime because of these now corrupt practices!REPORT COMMENTS

I am drowning in over a quarter-million dollars of student debt that I will never be able to pay off, that is preventing me from having kids, buying a home, or otherwise participating in the economy. All because I pursued a dream of being a lawyer and ended up finding it was a field with more job-seekers than jobs. Please help me hit the re-set button. I've done my best, and I'm making my payments, but it's preventing me from doing anything else in life (starting a family). Please help.REPORT COMMENTS
