Thank you for saving us all from the evil Common Core. Teaching the public higher-level thinking skills is dangerous. Take it from me, If you want to take over the world, you need to keep people from becoming more intelligent than you are. Your anti-Common-Core movement is doing a spectacular job of that. Let's keep students memorizing inane lists of facts and regurgitating answers. For the sake of the Fatherland, don't teach them how to solve problems through critical thinking skills. And, above all, don't teach them to collaborate. Dumb folk on an individual level are much easier to control. Keep up the good work. We have all had poor and truly inspiring teachers. The inspiring teachers in my life changed the course of my life, not my grade on a standardized test at the end of that school year. Common core's push for "accountability" demoralizes successful teachers because they expect poor results will be attributed to the teachers and not the professionally marketed, unproven "common core." There is no data that proves common core's effectiveness.REPORT COMMENTS

Not one of my teachers have expressed positive feelings toward Common Core--even they hate it! Possibly even more than the students they are forced to teach it to. Common core is an absolute and utter train wreck and needs to be stopped. The government is supposed to represent the people of the United States of America, at least that's how it was the last time I checked. Where is that representation now? Do your duty as a government agency--represent your people and put an end to Common Core. It is an unwanted, horrible educational system that has been imposed and forced upon us without our consent. We did NOT sign up for this.REPORT COMMENTS

HB 237 is important. Common Core does not work. Return the controls of the schools to the community. The government does nothing well or efficiently.REPORT COMMENTS

We need to be teaching the kids the core values of math, science English, and history. We need to let them figure out on their own which way they want to go in life?REPORT COMMENTS

Common core cirriculum is of course a tool of teaching counter-logic. That is not education. That is training kids to be dumb.REPORT COMMENTS

I am appalled at "educators" who come up with bad solutions. It doesn't take a Rhodes Scholar to know that one size does NOT fit all. The educator's job is not to tell children WHAT to think, but to give them the tools to think for themselves.REPORT COMMENTS
