Society has swept this shameful deed under the rug for far too long. I have come to a sad conclusion that many higher justices of power are corrupt and deviant. That is the only explanation that makes sense. I have no faith in the judges. It hurts to say that but it is the disgusting truth in front of us. -

This is completely backwards. Under the grounds of a child's rights being taken away while in the custody of a sex offender. A sex offender is a sex offender either way you put it. It is happening to us, unfortunately. I have a teenage son who will be court ordered overnight visits at his dad's place even though his dad is a convicted child sex offender. In Colorado, it's child sex offenders who have more rights than a drug dealer. I had to tell my son I failed and there is nothing I can do. He is forced to go to a child molester's house. Im a registered sex offender and am seeking custody of my13 year old daugter. I was charged with criminal attepmt to commit the crime of rape. My victim was in her late 30's. Just because im labeled doesnt mean im a monster and don't deserve the god givin right to be a father to my child. To lump each and every offender together is a huge problem. My wifes two children live with us on and off all year. Their dad is a federal cop and knows i would do any and everthing to protect those two children. He has complete confidence and trust in me. The courts continue to tell the public that they are impartial and fair but have yet to prove it. You cant throw each and every sex offender in one lump group nor pass laws that effect them as a whole. This is unjust and not the kind of future our for fathers wanted nor what they faught for.REPORT COMMENTS

I am in a situation where the offender was supposed to be rehabilitated, but has emotionally abused myself and my daughter to the extent she refuses to see him, but the court does not respect her needs and wishes and the father's rights are now putting children at risk. Please look at the children and the psychological damage and abuse that can happen as well as leaving them open to sexual abuse from the offender but also due to the psychological damage to abuse from others in the future.REPORT COMMENTS

I have a child with a registered sex offender. My child is 2 years old and I had to get two DNA tests for him to believe it was even his child. He is in rears in child support 10 grand and has been in and out of rehabs since my son was born. My son doesn't have his last name and the guy isn't even on the birth certificate because of how absent he was during my pregnancy and deciding he was his. Now out of rehab a third time, now he wants to take me to court for partial custody! Mind you he gave me sole custody because he didn't want anything to do with my son. Now all the sudden, he does. My child doesn't even know him and for him to want to take my child away from the only father he knows just cuz he finally feels like the looser he is and wants to know his child. I don't believe that a sex offender should have any rights when it comes to children. Especially one who has shown no interest in his child from the beginning. I feel for all of you woman and I hope you all get in your favor.REPORT COMMENTS

please if a parent that is a registered sex offender please make a law that they have to have supervised visits. A registered sex offender can't be around daycares, schools or other kids please protect the kids of registered sex offenders who have no voice. Even if the sex offender didn't molest their own child but did another child it's not a matter of if they will do it again but when that is why they are registered. Please protect the kids. I currently live in NJ. I'm dealing with a similar issue. My daughter biological dad, is a registered sex offender. He's never known my daughter. Doesn't even know her name. Never wanted a part of her. I only found out about his past after I was pregnant. Now 4 & 1/2 years later, he's fighting me in court for legal custody of my daughter. His crime was outrageous. He was 15 & raped a 10 year old girl but told police he didn't know any better. I have no help. My fiance and I are fighting as much as we can to protect our children from him. Not all cases are the same, for the more serious ones. I think the law should come into play and something should be done. I fear for my child's safety and I do not want him around her. Social services & child protective services refuse to help me BC legal there's nothing to do. Something has to give for the safety of these kids. The President should start looking into some of these issues.REPORT COMMENTS
