This issue is not really about the health and welfare of the American public as the "law makers" would like you to believe, its simply about the money and nothing else. If you are arrested for breaking the law with an ounce of Mary Jane, the law will steal your possessions, steal your money and throw you in jail to get even more money from you in court fees, probation and whatever else they can tag you with to take your money. the US court system is big big business, some would even compare it to organized crime. The state of Indiana is a huge dealer of "legal" drugs such as oxycodone, Vicodin, perquisite and on and on. Eli Lilly has a wide swath of supporters in the state of Indiana, the majority of the supporters being made rich from all the destruction to the American family's these legal drugs have ravaged. Not long ago the folks that make the fentanyl patch put up several million dollars to block the legalization of mary jane, I wonder what they are afraid of? When "law makers" hide behind the statement its a gateway drug and its bad for your health, rest assured they have lined their pockets with the pain of American addiction that Eli lily has turned golden. Make no mistake about pot legalization, its all about the cash the criminals in the American legal system don't want to give up.

Marijuana is not a crime! The amount of time money and energy spend to enforce marijuana policy has done nothing positive for the state of Indiana let's bring Indiana to the 21st century and get out Marijuana and MMJ policy to where is should be !

It is inconceivable to think about the amount of time, effort and money law enforcement has given to marijuana. Free people in a free country should be allowed to grow and smoke marijuana if they want. I am way more concerned about the I-69 extension that will soon provide a direct route from Canada to Mexico. Heroin and other much more harmful drugs will pour into our state, but the mind set is let's go after the pot smoker, such a SOFT target.

Lets legalize and bring money to Indiana! Idk what the issue really is... Achohol is sooo much more dangerous and harmful... Indiana need to get the head out of the rear... Probably never will. I'm considering moving soon to a legal state bc of this really.

I feel that legalizing this plant would do wonders for so many people who are sick. Seeing how many people have flocked to other states to get better medical treatment options is saying a lot. Using something that is natural from the earth and not made in a lab is not only better treatment, but also healthier for our bodys, especially the liver. Please consider helping the people who are suffering and dying due to the amount of medications they are on.

I don't currently use marijuana but if it became legal in the state of Indiana I would like to use it for the generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder that I have suffered from for more than a decade. I've tried many prescriptions for anxiety and the only one that works is benzodiazepine, which is much more addictive and dangerous than marijuana in my opinion.

I've been smoking cannabis for many years. I have a wife and 4 awesome children. I believe it helps with the stresses of life and I belive being a grown man I should have the right to self medicate with anything I choose. The only thing dangerous about cannabis is getting arrested for it.

As someone who has a chronic illness that's not treatable by pain killers. I suffer from depression, thank you I hope you understand. This needs to happen. It's not about getting high it's about relief. My point.

As someone who sufffers with severe depression and anxiety as well as back pain, this would definitely help to relieve any back pain and would most certainly lift my mood when I happen to feel anxious or depressed. I also have a friend who has severe epilepsy and often has strokes leading into seizures. This would definitely help him as well!

As a none drinker this would help out alot. I mean come on people are aloud to get drunk and do dumb things that they bearly remember doing, wake up feeling like crap, black out, hurt others, try to drive, and list keeps going for all the bad things drinking does to a person. With marijuana it helps people eat, sleep, enjoy life, helps with pain, anxiety, and the list keeps going for all kinds of good things it can help with. There's no point in going to jail over marijuana. NONE. If marijuana was legal I'd never pick up another cigarette ever. Look there's another good thing about marijuana. Why take a ton of piles that only make you feel off, weak, unable to move, can't wake up and do anything cuz your having to take a pile cuz if you done you feel horrible, the list keeps going. When you could smoke/eat some marijuana and be good without all the crazy side effects of all those piles. Look at all the children marijuana has helped in the last few years when nothing else did. It's time to wake up and realize that marijuana isn't as bad as people make it out to be.

Honestly, Cannabis has been proven to treat successfully many, many, illnesses and diseases. Such as Multiple Sclerosis, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Type 1, Type 2, AND Type 3, Epilepsy, Depression, Anxiety, and Alzheimer. Oh, and let's not forget to add in Cancer (Ya know, the disease no one can seem to find a cure for.). There has been an abundance amount of tests and theories ran through the use of Cannabis and every single outcome has been positive. It would save lives and heal wounded ones if we just legalized Marijuana.

Medically it would help so many people. And personally I would much rather be able to be told that I can use something natural that will actually help, rather than something that is full of man mad chemicals produced in a lab that doesn't seem to do anything except for make me feel worse or if it does help after so long either stop or cause lasting damage to my body.

Hubby is an alcoholic due to severe cronic pain. Pot is illegal but will help him while alcohol is killing him but makes him not care. I wish he could get real help.

Prescription medication isn't helping vets and others with chronic pain and PTSD AND terminal patients Indiana needs medical marijuana many are suffering needlessly because the politicians aren't listening to the voice of the people it's time for medical marijuana Indiana lawmakers are making many suffer for political reasons my opinion if change doesn't happen soon Vote them out put someone in that cares about there people get it together Indiana we've suffered long enough it's wrong to put people in jail for trying to treat there illnesses

Marijuana shouldn't be a criminal defense. Alcohol is legal and people get drunk and beat their wives and children. Marijuana is illegal and people smoke it and go home and have the best meal/sleep. Half of the drug arrest in the US is marijuana related. This is a non-violent offense and people are serving live sentences. Do you see the problem here?

We love In a country where we cherry pick what areas should have legal Cannabis and what states are too archaic and illogical to allow progression. Let's quit being the laughing stock of this country and legalize cannabis.
