Marijuana is not a drug, by legalizing marijuana for medical uses it'll cut back on crime, sick people will get the treatment they need without all the harsh effects, think about this, would you rather pump one of your relatives full of medicines or would you rather have a natural more pure remedy for them without the harsh side effects? -

Allowing medical marijuana would be so beneficial to not only myself but for so many others who suffer from numerous medical and mental conditions. It helps in my case with my seizures, helps give me an appetite so I can eat, and helps the pain I'm in all day everyday. Please allow these bills or laws to pass and help give the multitudes on Indiana patients who need this a chance at relief because that's what this will do to so many conditions, it gives relief.REPORT COMMENTS

The legalization of marijuana would bring us out of national debt. As well as being crime rate down, vehicle collisions, overdoses of other drugs. The eorld would be a much happier place.REPORT COMMENTS

Medical marijuana should be legal in Indiana. After 5 back surgeries,( reconstructing my spine )- I should be able to choose my pain relief. Many years of opioids raised my tolerance, and almost completely shut down my bowels. I was extremely addicted to Morphine Sulfate, Vicoden, oxycontin, and the Fentanyl patch. Marijuana does not come close in side-effects!REPORT COMMENTS

It is time to end the prohibition of marijuana. End the incarceration of good people whose only crime is smoking weed. We need to to study the untapped potential of different strains for medical treatment ie seizures, pain control. By legalization we reduce profits of criminal enterprises.REPORT COMMENTS

Cannabis illegality has caused nothing but pain for families and has wasted taxpayer money for too long with incarcerations for next to nothing. It's time to end this draconian idea that cannabis is inherently bad or immoral and finally legalize it and regulate it much like alcohol.REPORT COMMENTS

There's no reason anyone should ever have to live in fear knowing that they can't be caught with the one thing that helps them cope with pain and brings happiness to their life or they risk incarceration. Nature was given to us to use, not to ban and ruin peoples lives over. Having "Plant Laws" to begin with is just wrong and violates our rights as humans and US citizens. Cannabis laws are long overdue for change.REPORT COMMENTS

Legalizing recreational marijuana should happen in all a states. Politician, who all secretly smoke marijuana, needs to grow a backbone and allow this to be legal.REPORT COMMENTS

I don't understand why the Indiana is dragging it's feet. Why not capitalize on an opportunity? It would put money back into our state helping our schools and the people. Not to mention all the people who would benefit from this plants health properties. There are so many studies proving it's healing properties and how it's changes so many lives for the better. I myself suffer from anxiety and endometriosis (there is no cure), which is not a good mix when your having a flare up, let alone the chronic pain. I would much rather use medical cannabis than to take pain killers that make me feel nausea and tired. Also with the rise of deaths/addiction by opiates in our state this could be the change we need. They have studies in the states with legal medical cannabis where there is a drop of opiate overdoses. We the people want to free the leaf!REPORT COMMENTS

I think it really goes ta show what kind of rep indiana has when states have been doing it how long. N no big prob. Maybe u need ta thinknabout others lives n health issues it could help instead of urself. I bet if it were u n pain or son or daughter with ghese health issues n its the only thing that really helps. u'd b runnen to get them the help they need. Its just sad gov would rathen tax us n jail us rather then help the people who got em there. UR FIRED!# clean the swamp!REPORT COMMENTS

I wholeheartedly believe that Indiana should have reform on current marijuana laws. They are ludicrous to state there are no current benefits and to impose suck harsh punishments for simple possession. Indiana could be such a better place to live if the leaders and representatives would start progressing toward better standards and statutes. There has been more than enough scientific and medical information out there for a long time for people to make a fair, rational decision regarding this issue. As well as many other states, some for up to a decade, where anyone can clearly see the benefits of legalization. I completely support full decriminalization all the way up to the federal level. And also the support of our government not to allow any individual state to impose any sanctions based on their own opinion of the substance. I also am fed up having my hard earned tax dollars being wasted on anti-marijuana advocacy as well as paying for the unreasonable incarceration of people caught with simple possession. It's time for a change. And if we're truly going to make America great again. We need to start with supporting the will and voice of the people that live in this great country.REPORT COMMENTS

Indiana should definitely reform the laws on marijuana. It has so many positive effects that are generated negatively through mainstream media. We the people of the United States want the truth behind all of the positive effects of it, and for it to be legalized so we don't have to see our loved ones suffer.REPORT COMMENTS

I have a 7 year old son with Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Hydrocephalus, Grandma seizures, as well as frontal lobe seizures . My son is on 3 anti seizure medications daily that cause suicidal thoughts and actions, aggressiveness, confusion, tiredness, dizziness and nausea. He has been a "Guinea Pig" so to say for 7 medications since he was 3 months old, none of which help his seizure activity. The research to date for CBD oil is phenomenal for children suffering like him. It is beyond parents like myself to understand why such an amazing natural plant is still being refused for people that it can drastically change their lives and in some cases save them. Eventually my sons daily seizures or the medications he has been prescribed are going to hurt him more or even end his life, that is a hard thought to swallow every day when I watch him lose complete control of himself and anything around him. The anti seizure drugs are very harmful for human consumption, yet accepted. In a matter of 10 minutes of administering my sons meds he begins to drool on himself and act vegetable/zombie like or he becomes aggressive and harms himself or others around him. This is cruel unusual punishment, especially for a person living a life they couldn't even try to understand because they have so many boundaries and daily frustrations from their daily disabilities.REPORT COMMENTS
