Please help release prisoners earlier so they may have a chance at life with their loved ones again!

Please consider early release for first time offenders to stay at home and be husbands and raise their children with a father. As a parole board, listen to each inmate and consider each situation. I have a friend in the prison system for a non violent crime while murders are stacked up in diagnostic for months at a time sleeping on the floor. They are the ones who need to be in prison, not non violent offenders.

I agree we are amongst a few other states with this mandated & outdated law. Let's show our support and get this 85% rule reduced.

I agree. Something has to be done to make our Probation & Parole system work more effectively, and it must start with ridding ourselves of the 85% law which strips away prisoners incentive to get the most out of Rehabilitative programing in hopes for early release. Under 85%, inmates are not being Rehabilitated thus the surge in crime and recidivism.

My husband was a first time offender and the attorney was a fraud. My husband is innocent and deserves to be home!

So basically, we lost his state appeal because the court said Roderick has the possibility of being released on parole. We think he needs to file a petition for Habeas relief in federal court. This would be a further avenue for trying to get him some relief.
