as a historic preservation/compliance professional, I have worked under both decreasing enforcement of existing regulations and ever decreasing funding and budgets. Reauthorizing the HPF is critical, particularly in light of the incoming president-elect and his cabinet choices.REPORT COMMENTS

I am a professional archaeologist, a former owner of a cultural resource management firm based in Utah, and am currently working for a large cultural resource management firm headquartered in Michigan. I support the reauthorization of the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF) which has had a positive impact in Utah and the rest of the country. There are many jobs created and sustained, as well as public outreach made possible, from the continued funding of the HPF. The general public is very interested in their heritage, including the founding of our nation. Cultural resource professionals provide a lot of the information about our National Heritage which has translated into pride in our families and our communities.REPORT COMMENTS
