Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution

Messages Sent So Far
An idea whose time has come For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn't pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is being considered...in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop. This is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has come. Have each person contact a minimum of Twenty people on their Address list, in turn ask each of those to do likewise. In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around. Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States." I sure wish I could take credit for this but it was sent to me in an e-mail....I support it. I hope you as the lawmakers realize how angry the American people really are. So lets see if you really have our interests at heart and see you put this into law!

What is the status of this Proposal? It seems so obvious that more than 90% of the populous would support it

This is the rest of my comment: Many of these politician leechbags have ties to these war profiteering entities, just like they do with other corporations like Big Banks and Wall Street, Big Pharma, Big Oil N Gas and Monsanto. In place of these self-serving politicians lining up with the American people who?ve put them in office, they instead choose to side with those who can financially enrich them! Damn treasonous traitors! Enough is ENOUGH! Those who are connected to the organizers of the "Occupy Wall Street? Movement, should encourage them to start carrying signs of this Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution! It is time these leeching, crooked bastards be held to the same level, standards and laws that they put forth for us to live and abide by! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

It's about time something like this gets proposed and hopefully passed into law! We are sick and tired of putting these self-serving crooks into office, only to have them seek out their very own and their family's best interests, and to completely ignore the country and the rest of its' citizens who have elected them into office in the first place. Their actions are a testament to all of us that they don't have our best interest in mind- never have... but rather have that of their selfish and greedy selves and that of the Extremely Wealthy Elitists, Corporate America, Big Banks, Wall street, Big Oil and Gas, Big Pharma, Big War Profiteering, Monsanto and the likes... These are, for the most part, the very same lineage of crooks that illegally dodged the draft, who continually keep themselves and their loved ones from serving the country during times of war, but yet, are quick to make war over fabricated false claims, in order to profit from it and in turn, enriching themselves and their loved ones at the expense of our own son's and daughter's spilled blood and deaths! I say stop all of our wars NOW and bring our sons and daughters back home to their loved ones where they belong! I also propose that those who are quick to send us to unmerited wars, make an example first by sending their own sons, daughters and other relatives to the front lines before sending ours. I also propose that those who stand to profit the most from these unwarranted wars, be they corporations, contractors, politicians or other persons and entities, send their own sons, daughters and other relatives to the front lines. I am so sick that these War Profiteers, regardless of who they are, enriching themselves, their families and many more generations of their families yet to come, with the blood of our own sons and daughters! I propose that each of these innocent men and women, who are ordered to go to war by these greedy rich elitists in order to further fatten up their bank accounts, be given reasonable monetary percentages by all entities that stand to profit from these war crimes! And if they are lost in battle, those monies should be passed on to their surviving families be their wives, children, parents, brothers, etc? It?s a crying shame and an outright crime that these same groups of people are the ones profiteering anytime there is a war, when those actually fighting it get absolutely nothing but broken hearts and broken homes. I wonder how many wars we might have had if our politicians would profit nothing from them? But it is no secret that the profiteering entities have always lined up the pockets of these greedsters for a job well done! Many of these politician leechbags have ties to these war profiteering entities, just like they do with other corporations like Big Banks and Wall Street, Big Pharma, Big Oil N Gas and Monsanto. In place of these self-serving politicians lining up with the American people who?ve put them in offi

It is about time that Congress live under the same laws and regulations that govern other U.S. citizens. I even propose that all of this be retroactive, so that all the privilege they have granted themselves will become unconstitutional. Citizens have lost their pensions, why not they? I am aware that there are layers and layers of special privilege they have granted only to themselves that should become unconstitutional, and therefore, null and void. I agree, it is no longer a matter of party, it has become a matter of special interests of the governing for themselves. Time to read the historical statements about government written during the American Revolution and during the founding of our country.
