Seems I was given the same run around as other mortgage holders. I insisted that I needed the HAMP, called HOPE, Hope called citi and I was told I would have to wait 6 months while making all of my 46% of SSD income to payments in that time!!! Reading other peoples complaints and the requirements of the program itself, I know this info. is incorrect. Not one of the telephone operators at citimortgage were on the same page and just seemed to make up info. as they went along. When confronted with a discrepancy, such as FHA is included in the HAMP program, the service agent angrily told me over and over that FHA and VA loans are not eligible for HAMP.

We have been trying ot get a loan mod from America's Servicing Company for over 1 1/2 years. Sending them the same documents approximately 10 or more times. They advised me yesterday that I needed to once again send them pay stubs, bank statments showing my husband's Social Security deposits...even though they already have the Award letter stating the amount that he will receive for life. They are playing a game...giving the homeowner a false sense that they truely are trying to help. others that have ASC as their servicer tell the exact same story. I'm convinced that they are stringing all of us along so they can show that they are continuing to work with the homeowners for a resolution in order to save our home.

HAMP is too strict. There are no options for those of us who have jobs, work hard, do everything possible to pay our bills, and still have trouble paying everything, including our mortgage. I have been trying to get a loan modification, traditional, through citimortgage and have had no luck.

Bank of America hamp program is a joke. They send you on a wild goose chase. You supply info and they don't receive it. Info that they do use is something they have pulled out of thin air. You're approved and then not approved. They do not know who is doing what, they give you false hope and let you dangle and then take you home.

I am attempting to get a loan modification through Bank of America (BOA) and all they are doing is giving me the run around. Every time they request information I send it to them and what they do is request more information instead of making the modification. It is a vicious cycle of them continually requesting information and not doing anything with it once you send it to them. I am in dire straits and I need help but it appears that BOA is not interested in helping me or anyone else they are only interested in making money for themselves. They are taking government money to supposedly help people but they are not making very many permanent loan modifications. Congress needs to make them do what they are supposed to do.

In late August 2010, I attended a NACA event in West Palm Beach, FL and personally met with a representative of IndyMac. He evaluated all of the required information that was submitted to NACA and made a determination that I qualified for the Home Affordable Modification Program. He additionally provided me with a document outlining the proposed trial period payments based on my gross monthly income. I was told by him not to make any additional payments to IndyMac and that I should await to hear from IndyMac directly. We subsequently were told to make one more full payment on our mortgage so that we were not so much delinquent in our payments. We later did hear from IndyMac only to be told to re-submit more current documentation. We eventually received an offer from IndyMac dated December 23, 2010 in which we were told that we were accepted into the ?trial period payment? program and that in order to qualify for a permanent modification we must make trial period payments in a timely manner. We were additionally told in writing that after all trial period payments are made and that all required documents were received that our mortgage would be permanently modified. We did make all of our payments in a timely manner in the amount that IndyMac told us to pay and we also submitted all the required documents. However, on April 11, 2011 we received a letter from IndyMac informing us that IndyMac was unable to offer us a Home Affordable Modification. We believe that IndyMac has not dealt with us in good faith. We did not receive from IndyMac accurate information to the best of their knowledge and we further believe that the information provided by IndyMac was intentionally misleading and we believe fraudulently induced us to sign the agreement that was offered which we believed would lead us to obtain a loan modification that would be permanently modified as stated in their offer if we made all of our trial period payments in a timely manner. We have now retaine the services of an attorney to force IndyMac to hor their contarct and prevent foreclosure.

To whom it may concern,, I am writing this letter to request your assistance to get my loan modification application approved with Bank of America. I have to first explain my inopportune set of circumstances that has caused us to become unable to pay my mortgage. In the past ten months, I have done everything in my power to make ends meet and try to make my mortgage payment despite exhausting my life savings , but I have fallen short and would like to get your help to push my loan modification through, which I started almost a year ago and have not got any update. My primary goal is to keep my house for my boys. Not only is it a place to dwell in, it contains too many memories of me and my two young boys with their deceased dad. I would really appreciate you could help me out on this matter. My financial difficulties all started when my husband passed away on June 12th 2010 after an eight-year battle with cancer. After this tragedy, I became the sole income holder and support for my two young boys (14 and 9 years old). This is a very depressing and painful time for me and my family, but my misfortune continued in December after my father died. Two months later, I was laid off from my job on February 11th as an Oracle database administrator. We lost possession of health insurance starting February 28th. I was given the option to sign up for COBRA insurance coverage, but struggled with being able to defray the expenses. On the weekend of March 12th, my older son, Randy, went on a school band trip to Lincoln Center in New York. He received a rather serious injury at the hotel he stayed at, at the time he was sent back to his hotel room by a chaperone , he passed out during the middle of the night from pain and the next morning he was immediately sent to a local hospital, accompanied by his chaperone. Randy hospitalized for ten harsh days, with another required six weeks of recovery time at home. In addition to my employment issues, I have to tend to my injured son very carefully. My situation could be helped if I were to receive a loan modification. However, I have had a very tough time dealing with the loan modification process. It has taken more than 10 months since I initially began applying. Seeing as there was no progress, because I only received notifications saying that it was still pending. The mortgage interest rates and escalating medical bills have just been too overwhelming. Now, it is at the point where I cannot afford to pay what is owed to my lender. It is my full intention to pay what we owe. Of course as soon as I financially can. At this time I am beyond exhausted with the weight of the world on my shoulders, so I am turning to you for help. I would appreciate if you could help us and work with the Bank of America to reduce?r the interest rate or reduce amount owed and/or my payments so I can keep my house and also afford to make amends with my lender. I truly hope that you will consider working with us and we ar

After 1 1/2 years of trying 3 times to obtain a loan modification from IndyMac because of severe loss of income, we were finally approved. But their view of a modification was to increase our monthly payment by $600 when we couldn't afford the old payment. Ridiculous!!!

During the modification attempt with Bank of America, we have been lied, misled, threatened, and harrasted. Bank of America took billions of tax payers money and not doing what it is supposed to do with the money. Force these banks to cooperate or see a bloody revolution rise against these greedy evil banks.

I am a tax accountant in California and at least once a week I have a client who comes in telling me they have to walk away from their property. They want a modification but can't get anyone to help them. They are told first to not pay for a few months. 'How stuipid is that' Then after a year or two they are still stuck in the same place so they just walk away. I know the bank's aren't just giving money away but refi these people so they can make the mortgage payment, on a 40 yr refi. I had a lady who stopped payments 1 yr ago and is still living in the house and no one has even sent her a letter. This is so getting out of hand. If the IRS can put you on a payment plan for money owed why can't the banks? I am not for the Gov't getting involved in industry but maybe Oracle or Google can start running the banks.

my husband and I were both laid off at different times, I did what I thought was the right thing and asked Citi for help until we got back on our feet. I submitted the paperwork at least 5 separate times, we were eventually put on the making homes affordable program. I followed it to a tee, constantly asking for updates from Citi to only be told it takes a long time. The next thing I get in the mail after a year of making payments under this program, is a threatening letter from none only but the company run by the ex-CEO of Countrywide. He was questioned again and again by Congress and his penalty was the ability to start up his own loan company, and come straight for people's jugulars who only want to survive and keep their home. This disgusts me, these programs failed because of a temporary fix and no oversight. I am scared to death of what happens next.

A new website called PredatoryForeclosures.com will provide tools and templates for homeowners to create the next grass roots movement to save their homes. Create media releases, blogs, e-mail blasts, posters, social media campaigns like the predators do in their effort to silence the homeowners. Part of the effort will be a National Day of Shame naming the predators and their practices. the power of one multiplied by ten can and WILL have an impact. Someone has to step up to the plate to protect the Great American Dream from continuing to become the Great American Nightmare while banks, mortgage companies, service companies, corrupt attorneys, and bank influenced mediators line their pockets. We will become this voice with your help...let the movement begin!

Don't trust these banks with their trial period scams, they lower your payment but put the difference into your debt and in no time they put you in foreclosure. The gov't is in on this cause they're controlled by wall st and the banks. Just apply for a mod without falling behind if you can. If you don't believe me then just google trial period modification and you'll see how many people are caught in this act.

I'm in the same situation as all these good people with ScumTrust Mortgage. I started my mod in September 2009 and was just informed today by the loss mitigation folks from my lender that they no longer offer the "Making Home Affordable" modification program! WHAT?! I was told in July 2010 that I was approved and my mortgage was reduced to 2% for the next 5 years. I have been making all my payments on TIME. How do you no longer offer a program that I was approved and have alread entered into more than 9 months ago????? I think we should all march on Washington D.C., White House, Treasury Dept., etc., to take matters into our own hands to get what Mr. President promised! He excessively boasted out about "Change" during his campaign, but no one ever questioned what kind of "Change." There has been "Change" all right, but not a positive one for the American people, only for the banks. Facebook it, let's make arrangements! If Egypt can do it....why can't we?
