I have had Gastroparesis for 6 years. I was an active motivated person working as an RN. I loved working and taking care of people. Now I am the patient. Lost my job, lost capability to go to my grandkids events, birthdays etc. I spend most of my days too sick to take a shower. I can't take vacations with my husband any more or go to dinner with him. I suffer from Gastroparesis, as well as six mental illnesses that are all considered disabilities. Gastroparesis is by FAR the most disabling. I'm blown away that this isn't considered a disability. I'm 26 and now literally live in bed because of it. It's more than a disability, it ruins your entire life. I now can't chase any of the dreams I once had, because I'm ALWAYS sick. My life has been taken away from me by Gastroparesis.REPORT COMMENTS
