Stunned that Congress would open the flood gates on the very instruments that crashed the economy. We are tired of weapons of mass financial destruction and insidious government bailouts. Prior to 2007/008, FDIC was not at risk for the large non-dispository investment banks and look at the mess their risky behavior created. What will happen with the FDIC on the hook?

Whomever added this to the bill is a criminal and should be tried for treason (what's the penalty for treason?)

It is unbelievable to me, after all the damage to our economy caused by derivatives, and (worse) the potential further damage narrowly avoided, that congress is attempting to stick taxpayers for the derivatives losses that are sure to come. Shame on congress, and the fools in it who sell taxpayers down the river for their own personal gain.

Approving of any of these rollbacks is irresponsible, reprehensible, and not in the best interests of ordinary Americans.

It is insane that we have people still out of work and ruined by the banks actions and now congress will allow the banks to once again screw the American people.

The inability of congress to focus on any one thing, such as funding the government, is exactly why the institution and its membership have no approval. Deregulation, indeed any bill, should be made to stand up to scrutiny before being passed. Such 11th hour hacks violate not only the basis of democracy but the very principles of sound conservative government.

Please don't eviscerate the already weak Dodd-Frank reform bill even more.
