This not right either we shouldn't have to repay or the new one should have to repay also either way would make me happy but it is unfair to give two separate incentives for the same thing that are so different

Completely unfair, I hurried to close on my house in 2008 just to find out that if I waited a month longer I would have saved myself $7500!!

$500 more credit and they don't have to repay? Definitely not fair!

We just happen to find the house that we liked in 2008. We should not have to repay this tax credit since 2009 & now 2010 will not have to repay. Thank you.

I think it is highly unfair that we bought our home in Aug 2008 and took advantage of the 7,500.00 tax credit that needed to be repaid and now they have offered and extended a new tax credit 4 months later that does not have to be repaid. I find it unfair that in only 4 short months they can make this decision and not include those of us who are to pay back. We need help too or we would not have taken advantage of this credit. Please make the 7,500.00 a credit too.

We bought homes as the Government wanted. Those homes are not worth less then we bought them for and we are the only ones in this whole housing deal to have to repay the tax "credit"? The Government needs to get this right and treat us all equally. Those getting the $8,000 (which started just weeks after I bought my home), get a free ride and do not have to repay the money? Get it right and waive the $7,500 tax credit repayment.

Life is not always fair but with our economy hurting congress should really consider changing the repayment for 2008 home buyers. Both the 2008 and 2009 tax credits should be true credits and either they should both have to be repaid or both should not have to be repaid. Just my 2 cents!

I urge or Sentators, Congressman and Congresswomen to help those of us, who through tough times, managed to save enough for a down payment and purchased a home in 2008 by getting Congress to give those of us who took advantage of the $7500 tax credit the same non repayment provision as those who utilize the $8000 tax credit for purchasing a home.

The government didn't do a great job of establishing trust and hope in those of us who are forced to repay a credit that was given away for free a few short months later.

With all the credits that car dealers and financial institutes are getting why should families that are paying their taxes and helping the economy buy purchasing a home have to pay this money back!

Closed October 2008 thinking it was another plus to have a free 7,500 loan. The improved grant of 8k needs to be provided to all new home owners revamped from the start.

My fiance and I purchased our 1st home in October of 2008. If we had known about the next $8,000 incentive, we would have waited to purchase our home. I feel that repayment of our $7500 is completely unfair - why was our purchase less important than those people who purchased this year?
