I support HR 213. Please pass this dual beneficial rule for the benefit of the country and skilled workers. America is meant for equality in all departments.

This is my 11th year in this great country. I feel I have tremendous potential to make it big but I am bounded by US immigration laws. Getting a green card would help immensely in reaching my career goals.

A highly skilled worker should be purely evaluated based on skills and not on the country of origin or race or color. And this is one of the core values of the constitution and hence I hope that HR213 will be passed as soon as possible

I came to the US in 2003 to do my Masters of Science and after graduating at 2005 December, I have been continuously working on H1B since then. I filed for my GC in 2010 Nov for Highly skilled worker (EB2) and have waited till now for 6 yrs. with the country based quota it looks like it would take another 5 years for our GC as we are Indian citizens. This is taking a huge toll on our family and we desperately hope that the HR213 be passed as our American dream is this close to be shattered.

My experience is great in USA as this nation truly believe in equality. But unfortunately for immigration system it's not true. Same time I have a firm believe that President and congressman will support this bill and every law-biding and tax payer will have equal opportunity to be a permanent residence of United State of America. Thanks

Stop Country based discrimination!!! Even U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is responsible for enforcing federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or an employee because of the person's race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information. It is also illegal to discriminate against a person because the person complained about discrimination, filed a charge of discrimination, or participated in an employment discrimination investigation or lawsuit.

I came here as student in 2010 and stuck in this artificial backlog. Why people born in a particular county are made to suffer? Pass this bill and make sure competitiveness is preserved and encouraged.

I have been living in the US for 14 years and have been on H1b for more than 13 years. My green card application was turned in 6 years ago but due to the country limit, I have not gotten it yet!

America - Equality for All. Except for Immigration matters? I am confident that there will be 100s of thousands of more professionals like me, who came to the US over a decade ago for higher education. Later, joined the American workforce. Worked with various public sector, universities, hospitals - you name it! Being in the higher salary bracket (equates to high tax bracket) in all my adult life, still it's extremely saddening and sickening to digest the fact that the Green Card will take forever just because of the country of my birth? Well - Equality for All?

The prolonged process of waiting for the EB2/3 category needs to be improved. That will provide lot more ability for the skilled workers in terms of having a healthy as well as a competitive working environment

Do something to fix broken legal immigration system. H1B employees are paying taxes to Govt(federal, state, local, medicare and social security taxes) which is good, but they are also paying to consulting companies up to 20 to 35% of their hard earned money for more then 10 years in many cases.
