This diagnosis has ruined my life literally. Imagine never being able to have a healthy relationship with another human being because of the fear of infecting them. Sorry, but it's not fair. This virus often won't present itself with symptoms which then only leads to further transmitting of the virus. Then those who are symptomatic have absolutely no clue who they contracted this painful virus from. I swear if everyone in the world was tested for either HSV1 or 2, there would be a cure or complete suppression by tomorrow. It's unfortunate for those who suffer because their whole life is now focused on not giving this to another person. If it was you, what would you want? I would rather have cancer, if that goes to tell you how much this virus has ruined my life.
