I currently have Vestibular neuritis, which is extreme nerve pain that effects the nerves in my ear that lead to my brain. I also have nerve pain on the same side of my head which makes it very painful to brush my hair. I worry this infection caused by HSV 1 will eventually affect my brain. Please allow clinical trials of Pritelivir to continue. Acyclovir is not effective in the prevention. It only treats current infection and not effectively. Please consider the severity of HSV 1 and allow the only effective drug, Pritelivir, in preventing infection, trials to continue. Thank You! -

This is a breakthrough for individual like myself who suffer from the physical and mental distress. Unfortunately there are some who don't care about spreading the disease. (How I acquired the disease) Therefor spreading the disease like wildfire in huge metropolitan cities and especially in college towns. That's not what you want to remember by moving away from home to go to college for an opportunity to build a future. The herpes simplex virus is not life threatening but it takes a lot of lives due to suicide. If your little girl came home from college with it would you still treat her the same? Probably not. I have suffered for the past 5 years with hsv2, getting outbreaks at least once a month. They are painful, and make me completely unable to concentrate on anything else.
