This is exactly the type of public partnerships that work! PBS provides a cost-effective education that is available to every family with a TV set or online access.

I grew up watching pbs the way the shows are designed is incredible. The "brought to you by ..." on Sesame Street were small clips of information (commercials if you will) designed to build the vocabulary, spelling, and mathematics of every growing child watching. To anyone reading this: Your voice still counts, even after eclections.

Public television and shows such as Mr Rogers Neighborhood and Sesame Street have taught many of us life lessons that are not found in many other places.

The Tea Party has proven themselves expert at hate speech, and now at twisting even the simplest message. Thank goodness their numbers were so diminished during this election cycle!!

Public broadcasting is there for everyone. Especially for those who are less fortunate that cannot afford either the expensive preschool education or the expensive cable bills.

It's not about just Sesame Street-- it's about the myriad of other shows for children and the rest of the family that don't have the merchandise and financial backing that Sesame Workshop gets. It's just that utilizing the famous puppets serves as a quick and vibrant icon to raise awareness about supporting all the great things PBS shows and supports nationwide. Besides, there are many other things that drain so much more money than PBS's budget... Please consider keeping support for PBS and all its wonderful programming.
